Prototype
Final
The canisters have different colors in the proto, and part of the flame effects in the background are also different. Some of the background colors are slightly duller in the proto.

Prototype
Final
The enemies have different colors on the proto.

Prototype
Final
A bomb put here in the proto was removed from the final.

Prototype
Final
This soldier was moved up a bit for the final. The item box found here in the proto...

Prototype
Final
...was moved to the right for the final. In the proto, the box has a small shuriken item inside it, but it was changed to a large shuriken item in the final.

Prototype
Final
In the proto, there are three soldiers here: two regular grunts and a guy with a mortar launcher. There are also two item boxes, containing a bomb and a small shuriken item. For the final, one of the regular soldiers was removed, and the item boxes were also taken out. The mortar guys were also given different colors. The large canister with "23" on is shorter in the proto, and was made slightly taller for the final.

Prototype
Final
The proto does not have two item boxes here, whilst the final does. The boxes contain a small and large shuriken item.

Prototype
Final
A box with a small shuriken item in it was removed from the final.

Prototype
Final
There is an enemy here in the proto who was removed from the final, and replaced with an item box. This item box is in the proto, but located slightly to the left of the area shown above.

Prototype
Final
There are two enemies here in the proto, but one was removed from the final. One of the canisters has already exploded in the proto, but it hasn't for the final. Finally an item box was added for the final. It contains a large shuriken item.

Prototype
Final
The proto is more difficult at this point, as there are more enemies and more mines in the floor. The final made things easier.

Prototype
Final
The proto has different colors for the boomerang shield soldiers. The item box here contains a small shuriken item in the proto, and a power up in the final.

Prototype
Final
When killed, the boomerang soldiers do not drop their shields in the proto, but they do in the final.

Prototype
Final
A box in the proto was removed from the final. It contains a bomb.

Prototype
Final
The section just before the sub-boss is more difficult in the proto, as in addition to the enemies there are also mines. Most of the mines were removed from the final version.

Prototype
Final
The proto is missing an enemy here that that final has.

Prototype
Final
At this point, two of the canisters are broken in the proto. Only one is in the final.

Prototype
Final
The proto features a different sub-boss than the final. The prototype has a robot who was a normal enemy in the original version of the game. But his AI hasn't been completed, so he'll just stand there, charging up his laser. You can kill him by shooting shuriken at his head (his only weak spot) and unlike most of the other bosses in this proto, he'll change color as he takes damage. The sub-boss is glitchy, as sometimes he'll sink through the floor or rise up into the air slowly for no reason. If you dive kick him, his sprite will briefly display garbage graphics. If you use the dash slice, the boss will leap away, again with a garbage sprite. For the final, the sub-boss was changed to a different robot.

Prototype
Final
The boss has a much more explosive death in the proto. The final version has nowhere near as many explosions.

Prototype
Final
The factory stage is completely different in the proto -the above screens show the starting position between the proto and final versions. The prototype version of the factory is so different that I've written a guide to it instead.

Prototype
Final
The boss fight is mostly the same, aside from the usual prototype differences: the boss is stronger. The debris which falls from the top of the screen is also different between versions. However, unlike most other bosses in this proto, this boss changes color after taking damage.

Prototype
Final
The fire breath attack the boss has has a slightly different explosion effect in the proto for when the fire hits the ground.
