Final
These screenshots are from a preview featured in issue 71 of Electronic Gaming Monthly. The big difference with these screens is that Guy has a different sprite, with him wearing an outfit that more resembles his original Final Fight outfit. In the final version, he wears something that looks very similar to what he wears in the Street Fighter Alpha series.

Guy is also shown fighting a Fat Jack in the first level, in the final version these enemies don't show up until the second level. The floor is also different.

This screen shows the alternate route of the second level, which features a very different background to what the final version has. Two of the pictures appear to be Morrigan from the Darkstalkers series.

These screens are from a preview featured in issue 75 of EGM. Here's an early version of the character select screen for the auto 2P mode. The characters are missing their names, and Lucia's picture has a lot of differences. She isn't wearing gloves or her jacket, but does have elbow pads on. Her face is different.

Some other differences are that Lucia appears to be the default COM select character in this screenshot, as Guy hasn't been selected yet and you can't choose your CPU partner until you've chosen a character. In the final version, Haggar is the default COM character. The height and weight measurements are also different.

Another screenshot showing Guy's different sprite.

Nothing too different here, other than the different Guy sprite, and the enemies having different colors. The poster on the wall is also different.

These preview shots are from Gamefan volume 3, issue 8. You don't get to fight Andores of Fat Jack enemies in this level in the final version. The prisoner is also missing from his cell.

The Andore has a different sprite than what's seen in the final version.

Another shot of the early Guy sprite, plus there is an unknown blue enemy being sent flying. The city in the background to the top right is different.

Review
Final
These screenshots are from a review featured in volume 3, issue 11 of Gamefan. Despite being a review copy, there are a lot of differences between this and the final version.

First up is this logo, which is a design that has lot more in common with the Japanese version's logo (known as Final Fight Tough).

Review
Final
Several images are from the game's intro, showing that most of it was changed for the final version -some stuff was just minor changes, whilst other stuff had entire shots re-drawn, such as the one with Lucia and Dean in it.

Review
Final
The review also shows some pictures from the character select screen. Guy and Haggar's pictures appear to match the final version, but Lucia's is different. She's been changed when compared to the image shown in the EGM preview (see above) but her head is still pretty different.

Dean's picture is odd as it's the only one missing the brick background the others had. His picture was redrawn for the final game.

The hammer weapon originally had an orange handle. Changed to gray for the final version.

Review
Final
The review screens have some consistent oddities in them:

-Lucia is spelt "Rusia".

-Dean is spelt "Deen".

-Dean has orange pants, rather than the gray pants he has in the final version.

"Kein" instead of Caine.

This billboard was larger originally, the final version removed part of the board and changed the color of it.

Review
Final
The China Town restaurant originally had quite a few differences in it, such as the pillars having different sprites which were more detailed.

Final
Wong, the boss of the China Town level, originally had different colors, and his head appears to be slightly different.

There are some differences with the background as well, the doorway and oven door have different colors. There also seems to be some dead chickens hanging from the ceiling which were removed from the final version.

These shots are from a preview from issue 76 of EGM. A lot of the shots show screenshots similar to those featured in Gamefan's review, but they also have some shots of the opening of the China Town level, showing it had a different look in this build.

The buildings are different and there are some spectators present, the crowd were removed from the final version. The truck has a different sprite, and the word "CAPCOM" was removed from it in the final.

Another shot that was zoomed in shows that the back end of the truck was different, with the word "YAM" on it.

Here's a better quality image that the Gamefan review also featured, showing part of the intro that was changed for the final version.
