In the Japanese instruction manual for Samurai Spirits, page 29 contains an interview where Kuroko, the game's referee, talks to Haohmaru, Ukyo and Jubei. When the game was released outside Japan, this interview was removed. It was instead replaced with art of Haohmaru. But now, thanks to shmuplations, enjoy this English translation of the interview:

Spectacular Interview with
three heroes of Samurai Spirits!

Kuroko: Hello! Today we've assembled the three leading men of Samurai Spirits together.

Haohmaru: Pfh!

Ukyo: Now now, don't get carried away. Why do you wish to fight so much?

Haohmaru: Shut up! The thrill of battle is the only thing that matters to me!

Jubei: You are still young. Such impatience will not lead you to victory.

Kuroko: By the way, Haohmaru. That sword of yours, why is it called Fugudoku?

Haohmaru: Ho, now this is a good question. That name was decided at the planning stage. I suppose they wanted a name for a sword that would make you fearful of getting cut by it.

Ukyo: Your lack of refinement is truly something to behold. "Fugudoku"... how uncouth.

Haohmaru: Shut up! What would a pathetic man like you, who wanders the land looking for "flowers for his beloved" know about it!?

Ukyo: For heaven's sake, Haohmaru, don't be sore just because women don't like you. Besides, aren't you the one who's sweet on Nakoruru...?

Haohmaru: Wh, shut your mouth, you lousy samurai playboy! I'll cut you down right here! KOGETSUZAN!

Jubei: Knock it off, Haohmaru! Geez, you really are a hothead!

Haohmaru: Don't interfere, Jubei. I know your secret. Yagyuu Jubei Mitsuyoshi wasn't really a two-sword fighter, was he? That was Miyamoto Musashi!

Jubei: Ugh..! Uh, hey, everyone, look over there! Charlotte is taking her armor off!

Haohmaru and Ukyo: What! Wh, where?! Where is she???

Jubei: Heh, I've got you now! (strikes at them) HASSOUHAPPA!!

Haohmaru and Ukyo: Argh! We're done for...

Jubei: Heh. Don't worry, I only used the flat of the blade.
