Greatshot is a universe-wandering mercenary. But even he requires rest after doing so much fighting, and lands on Earth. After spending the night in a cave, he walks out to see that it is now a pleasant morning.
The peace is then disrupted when something bursts out of the sea. Greatshot sees that it is the Destron flagship, the Thunder Arrow, which has taken off.
Meanwhile the Cybertrons find out that the Dinoforce are attacking an oil field. Star Saber lets Blacker, Braver and Laster head out to stop them from taking any energy, and also has the Rescue Team go with them to try and save people and put out any fires if the worst comes to the worst. Moments later the Cybertrons move out in Galaxy Shuttle.
Greatshot passes through an attack Cybertron base, and sees that everyone there has died. He wonders what those evil Destrons are planning next. Meanwhile, at the oil fiend, Kakuryuu is put in charge of watching the captured humans, although he'd rather take a nap.
The rest of the Dinoforce create as many energon cubes as they can, but then notice Galaxy Shuttle in the distance. Gouryuu tells everyone to just keep working. Meanwhile the Cybertrons see the layout of the oil field, and decide to drop out of Galaxy Shuttle when they're within 100 feet of their destination.
Suddenly Killbison and Drillhorn burst out of the ground and open fire on Galaxy Shuttle, who takes many hits. He is damaged so badly that he can't land properly, and is forced into crashing. The Cybertrons inside him are OK and fire back on the two Destrons, who start to withdraw. The Brainmasters transform and go after them.
But Laster and Braver's sports car modes are no good on the sand and they get stuck. The two transform and stop Drillhorn, but he fires a smoke bomb at them and drills to get himself underground. Meanwhile Killbison goes after Blacker.
At the oil field, the Cybertrons find that there are a lot of workers on the site, but Kakuryuu is guarding them. Fire is sent out to distract him. Fire just casually drives up and then blasts both him and his dinosaur shell in their faces with foam, which means they can't see. They are soon covered up completely, giving the humans the chance to escape.
Braver and Laster see the direction Drillhorn is going in and go after him, but he leads them into some quicksand. To make things worse, Leozack and Guyhawk then appear, as Blacker drives up with Killbison still after him. Back at the oil field, Kakuryuu stumbles over to his leader, moaning that his eyes hurt. Gouryuu wonders what happened to the human workers, but Kakuryuu keeps complaining. Gouryuu tells him to go away and clean himself up.
As the Destrons start to fire at the three Brainmasters, Blacker suggests that they transform into Road Caesar and try and use his power to get out of the quick sand. They merge and start to actually sink faster, but then he uses his energy to rise out of the sand. However Guyhawk then drops down and lands behind him, and uses his ice needle attack.
This causes Road Caesar to fall apart. Blacker lands right in front of Killbison, who aims a gun at his head. Things don't look good for any of the Brainmasters, but then the Destrons suddenly find themselves under fire.
Greatshot has arrive to help them, and Guyhawk immediately goes after him. Elsewhere all of the workers are boarding Galaxy Shuttle, who the Rescue Team are repairing. Boater finds out that Greatshot has come and tells the others, and Jean contacts Star Saber. Star Saber is already on his way, having lost contact with them all earlier.
Guyhawk and Leozack try to fight Greatshot, but they are overwhelmed by his power. But Blacker is being beaten by Drillhorn and Killbison, and the other Brainmasters can't help him due to still being stuck in the sand.
Things take another turn for the worse as the Thunder Arrow bursts out of the sand, along with Hellbat and Jallguar. Deszaras also appears on the top of his ship, and fires an arrow which pierces Greatshot's right arm.
Deszaras laughs and says that the Cybertrons and their allies shall all be slaughtered. He tells Hellbat and Jallguar to finish him off, and they fire rockets at him. But Blacker dashes forward to protect Greatshot. He takes most of the hits, and loses an arm.
Blacker has been heavily damaged, and the Destrons surround him and Greatshot. Before they can do anything, Star Saber rushes in and shoots at them all. He then quickly flies over to where Laster and Braver are, and helps them out.
Greatshot tells Laster and Braver to take Blacker back to Galaxy Shuttle, whilst he'll help Star Saber fight the Decepticons. Star Saber transforms to his larger robot mode and challenges Deszaras on top of the Thunder Arrow. Meanwhile Blacker is checked over by Piupou who says for now that he'll be okay, but he can only be fully repaired back at Shuttle Base. Blacker tells Laster and Braver to leave him here and to go and stop the Dinoforce from stealing any more energy.
Greatshot easily holds his own against the Breastforce, prompting Guyhawk to suggest the team unites into Liokaiser. However Leozack says they've done enough by injuring Blacker, plus half the team has been damaged by Greatshot already, so they can't combine. They instead retreat, leaving Greatshot to go and provide Star Saber with some assistance.
The two attack the Thunder Arrow, flying right through it and causing great damage. Deszaras notices that the rest of his troops have withdrawn without permission, something which frustrates him, but there is no point in him straining himself. He retreats with his ship, but tells Star Saber that the Destrons will return.
At the oil field, Gouryuu realises that the Breastforce aren't coming to help them, and neither is the Thunder Arrow. Kakuryuu suggests they just run, but Gouryuu wants to know what they should do with the energon they've created. But Laster hits the energon with laser fire, causing it to explode. The Dinoforce get blasted away, and decide to run for it after all.
Later on, Blacker tries to downplay his serious injury, but Jean thinks he got careless. Blacker says he guesses he has no excuse. Whilst the Destrons failed to get any energy, their attacks are becoming more desperate. Star Saber says they too must tighten their resolve.
