These storyboards can be seen in full at the Sunbow and Marvel Productions Script/Storyboard Archive.

This sequence starts with a scene that didn't make it into the movie. It has Ironhide piloting the shuttle past some ice chunks, that are from a passing comet.

In the movie, this scene was replaced with this shot of the shuttle flying by an asteroid.

The shot of Brawn was cut.

The storyboard has the chair placed to the bottom left. In the movie, it's over on the right, behind Ratchet.

The storyboard has Scrapper, Mixmaster and Long Haul for this shot, but in the movie, it's Scrapper, Mixmaster and Starscream.

The shot of the Decepticons entering the shuttle was cut. The storyboard to the right also wanted the Decepticons fly past Megatron as he says "this was almost too easy", but in the movie, this doesn't happen.

The storyboard wanted Thrust, Shrapnel, Kickback, Ramjet, Thundercracker and Dirge to sit down at the controls. In the movie, Shrapnel, Skywarp, Soundwave and Dirge are used. Ramjet can just about be seen entering the shot at the far right.

The storyboard only has one Autobot on the floor, whilst in the movie, all four of them are there.

Oddly, the storyboard then has Soundwave and Skywarp sat at the controls. Neither of these characters are mentioned on the previous storyboard. The animators sorted it out though. One other difference is that the storyboard has all three of the Insecticons stood up for this shot, but in the movie, only Shrapnel can be seen, and he's sat down.
