Synopsis

The Aerialbots are sent to investigate why so many planes are vanishing from a certain area. They pick up a distress signal, but when they head towards the source, it's actually a surprise Combaticon ambush. Slingshot is damaged, but some backup from the other Autobots helps them make the Decepticons retreat. Slingshot is taken to a nearby airport where Ratchet mostly repairs him, but is unable to fix his weapon console. Skydive then suggests he uses himself as bait for the plane thieves, and as Slingshot can't do much, he volunteers himself to help. The two Aerialbots wait in a hangar, and later on, they are taken apart by several men and put into laundry trucks.

The truck convoy moves out back to Ali's palace, where several jet parts are placed into cars. The convoy then moves out again, as a kid called Hassan manages to get into one of the trucks. He'd seen what had been going on, but is surprised when he finds Slingshot and Skydive. He says he can help them, especially if they're trying to stop Ali. He's able to get the two Aerialbots back together, including using the grill from the Price's car for Slingshot's chest. However, Slingshot still needs a new weapons console. They then find out what's been going on -Ali is cooperating with the Decepticons, who are building an army of drone jets along with a giant purple griffin fortress. Ali sneaks into the fortress to try and find a weapons console for Slingshot. The other Aerialbots then arrive, and start fighting the Decepticons and their drone jets.

Hassan is able to find the console, but before he can get out of the fortress, the doors shut. The fortress then takes off, and as Slingshot tries to stop the Combaticons from transforming into Bruticus, he ends up falling into the fortress and getting restrained. However Hassan then finds Slingshot, and installs the weapons console. Able to use his gun again, Slingshot blasts his way out.

The Aerialbots transform into Superion. Megatron orders Rumble and Frenzy to attack, and the fortress blasts Superion. But Superion soon recovers, and kicks the fortress with such force it crashes. The Decepticons and Ali stumble out, and the Aerialbot's fire causes an explosion which sends the Decepticons flying. Later on, Ali has been apprehended -it turns out Ali had thrown the Prince out so he and Megatron could rule the world together. Air Raid wants to deal with Ali, but Silverbolt thinks they should let Prince Jumal deal with him. Slingshot says it might not be easy to find him, but then Hassan shows up and says it might be easier than he thinks. It turns out he is the Prince, and says after Ali drove him out of the palace, Hassan was a disguise he used. Slingshot says he's just remembered: he's still got the grill for his car on his chest! Will he want it back? Jumal laughs and says his hobby is to fix up old junkers, to which Slingshot asks if he's calling him a junker. Jumal tells him not to worry -he'll always be a Rolls Royce to him.

Notes

-This episode was clearly aired out of order -the Combaticons are present, and the Aerialbots aren't jerks. The Combaticons will be properly introduced in Starscream's Brigade, whilst the Aerialbots will have a life-changing experience in War Dawn. It's unknown why this episode was aired out of order, some fans believe the other episodes had production issues that led to them being delayed, but nothing has been confirmed.

-It's never mentioned as to why Fireflight joins the battle late.

-In the previous episode, Superion was voiced by Frank Welker. But in this episode and for the rest of his appearances in the series, he's voiced by Ed Gilbert.

Errors

-The top of Slingshot's head is colored white instead of orange during this shot.
-The above error happens again moments later.
-Somehow Blast Off doesn't notice the Autobot insignia on Slingshot's nosecone.
-Slingshot has a white head again during this shot.
-When Onslaught says "So I can blast him into oblivion!", he doesn't fully say the word "oblivion" -the latter half of it gets cut off.
-The top of Slingshot's head is colored white again when he jumps down from the fortress.
-Ali mouths Megatron's scream after they exit the fortress.
-When Silverbolt suggests they let Prince Jumal deal with Ali, Air Raid is mouthing his line.
