There are two scripts available for this episode, and they can both be read at the Sunbow and Marvel Productions Script/Storyboard Archive. The original script was written by Antoni Zalewski on 1/31/85. There is a circle note on the script saying this was then revised on 2/1/85. There is then also a revised script, with dialogue updates from Ron Friedman which was done on 2/9/85.

Some of the revised dialogue is what's used in the episode, but quite a bit of it was further changed later. In some cases, the revised script's changes were ignored, and the original script's dialogue was used.

In the scripts, the Negavator is consistently spelt "Negator", but in the episode the characters always say it as "Negavator".

In the episode, the Negavator's shot causes the door to explode, rather than blink out. This happens throughout the rest of the episode -the script states the shots should make things blink out (as seen at the start of the episode) but for unknown reasons the animators made everything explode when they get hit by its beam.
