A revised scripted is available for this episode, which can be read in full at the Sunbow and Marvel Productions Script/Storyboard Archive. The scans of this script are incomplete, missing a few pages at the beginning and several at the end.

ACT 1

SCRIPT	EPISODE DIALOGUE
	SUNSTREAKER Jazz! Dazzle that big freak with a light show, while we demonstrate a little fancy footwork!

	JAZZ Yeah, you got it Sunstreaker!

The script states Jazz's lights should be different colors, but in the episode they're all yellow.

The shot of Chip and Wheeljack smiling was cut.

	CHIP Sure! We secretly place one of these on each of the Constructicons! When they all join together...

SCRIPT	EPISODE DIALOGUE
	CHIP Probably... we hope.

This sequence of Prowl moving down the cliff was cut.

In the episode, these Autobots aren't seen removing any jet packs. It's strange as just a little further above this, the script notes these Autobots would use rockets in their arms to jet down, which is what they're shown doing in the episode.

	OPTIMUS PRIME Okay, Ironhide! Freeze the falls!

In the episode, the Constructicons transform after Scrapper says this line. Scrapper (I think it's Scrapper) also has an extra line that's not in the script: "To the surface! Fast!"

The script mentions something about sliding doors here, but these are not see in the episode.

The script wanted Mirage's shots to bounce up from the ground, but they aren't seen doing this in the episode.

ACT 2

In the episode, Megatron doesn't drop his hand. You can't even see his arm.

In the episode, this sequence was altered. Jazz is shown dodging a few explosions, then transforms. Sunstreaker is then shown doing the same thing. Then Jazz and Sideswipe are shown transforming together. The script notes Sideswipe should fire flares, but in the episode he fires lasers.

In the episode, this was changed so Thundercracker attacks Bluestreak first, then Bluestreak is shown firing back. Bluestreak fires missiles only, the script mentions something about a "lightning volt beam" which is never shown.

In the episode, Huffer is also seen getting kicked here, along with Jazz and Sunstreaker.

	PRIME Put me down, Devastator -and attack the Decepticons!

In the episode, whilst this line is said by Starscream's voice actor, the animators drew Thundercracker by mistake.

	PRIME There's no need --they're trapped. And they have no water, so they can't drill. Let's head back for repairs, and mop up later.

SCRIPT	EPISODE DIALOGUE
	MEGATRON We've lost nothing! I allowed the Autobots to believe Devastator was in their power.

SCRIPT	EPISODE DIALOGUE
	MEGATRON I wanted you to believe the battle was real. You're such a rotten actor you couldn't fool a Saturnian simpleton!

In the episode, Megatron doesn't say "Begin drilling at once!"

The Autobots were meant to applaud after Hook fixes Jazz, but they don't in the episode.

	HOOK Of course I did it! I can perform flawlessly to within one five hundred thousandth of a Cybertronic mini-inch!

In the episode, Prime says "Let's move out!" after Hook forms Devastator's head.

	MEGATRON There's nothing like watching the enemy through Devastator's eyes, eh Starscream? Battle stations!

Thundercracker, Skywarp and Rumble aren't seen surrounding in the episode.

In the episode, Chip isn't seen losing the control box, and doesn't tumble through the air -he wheels himself away just before the cave in happens.

This was cut from the episode.

ACT 3

SCRIPT	EPISODE DIALOGUE
	WHEELJACK You were right! He's out of control!

In the episode, the sequence with a Decepticon falling was cut, as was Megatron's attempts to use the controls. Megatron does try and use the controls a few seconds later. Starscream doesn't shoot at Devastator when the latter moves towards him, instead he just tries to run before being grabbed.

Megatron isn't seen using a mic in the episode.

In the episode, Megatron and Starscream are seen running past Devastator before he heads through the ceiling. They weren't mentioned here in the script.

In the episode, the Decepticons don't try to grab onto Devastator, they just shoot at him instead. Megatron's "No! No!" is heard before this, rather than after.

	STARSCREAM The space bridge is ruined! We're doomed, just like this whole worthless planet!

In the script, everyone was supposed to leap out of the way when Starscream gets blasted, but they aren't shown at all when this happens in the episode.

	MEGATRON I do this for the benefit of my Decepticons! It grieves me that you may also profit!

This shot was mostly cut from the episode. It was scripted to happen after Megatron's above "also profit" line. There are two shots of Laserbeak flying around Devastator's head, but that's all we get to see.

Devastator was meant to scream when he falls, but doesn't scream in the episode.

Bonecrusher's line here was cut.
