Synopsis

Doctor Fujiyama, the famous scientist, asks the Autobots to guard Nightbird, a new ninja robot he's created. Fujiyama reveals his creation at an event attended by many other scientists, but the Decepticons launch a surprise attack. Damaging several Autobots, the Decepticons capture Nightbird and take her back to their new temporary base. There, Bombshell reprograms and upgrades her, and she is then sent to the Autobot base to steal the world energy chip, a chip which controls the world's energy supply.

The Autobots go after her and after several encounters, eventually manage to capture her. This is seen by Megatron, who tells the rest of the Decepticons that they must save her. Starscream, annoyed by Megatron's fondness for Nightbird, devises his own plan to deal with her. The Decepticons find the Autobots, and Megatron frees Nightbird from the energy net the Autobots had caught her in. The Decepticons and Autobots then fight, but Optimus eventually manages to get the energy chip back.

Nightbird fights the Autobots, but Starscream sneaks onto the battlefield and blasts her in the back with his null ray, disabling her. Upon seeing this, a furious Megatron orders the Decepticons to go after Starscream. The Autobots take Nightbird back to Fujiyama, who thanks them for their help and states that Nightbird shall be locked up forever. But as the pod locks, nobody notices Nightbird's eyes have started to glow...

-The music in this episode is often very quiet, and can barely be heard over the voices and sound effects.

-Despite what's shown in the ending, Nightbird never makes another appearance in the series.

Errors

-As Nightbird goes to strike Prime, the laser blast overlaps Prime's hand.
-Starscream's upper legs are colored blue instead of white during this shot.
-When Starscream transforms back to robot mode, his eyes are colored blue instead of red.
