Street Fighter!

A fighting tournament is taking place in a warehouse. The local freestyle champion, the Crimson Crawdad, is going up against the man who put the chicken into chicken colonel, William Guile.

Crimson Crawdad tells Guile to come on, and also says he heard that he used to be somebody. Guile says that's right -he used to be. Crimson Crawdad generates a projectile he calls the pincer grip. As Guile prepares to defend himself, someone from the audience calls him a traitor and throws a box of popcorn at him.

This distraction causes Guile to get hit by his opponent's attack, knocking him over. Guile gets back up and asks why did he have to go and do that? He takes off his jacket, but then another member of the audience leaps into the ring, armed with a chair.

Guile stops the guy and takes the chair. As the guy slinks off, Guile notices that the chair has the letters "SF" on it. Meanwhile, Crimson Crawdad says that on TV it said that when Guile was in Shadaloo with the international peace keeping forces, he ran out on his own troops. Crawdad then leaps high up into the air, and dives down with a kick.

Guile counters with a sonic boom, which hits Crawdad whilst he's still in the air and sends him crashing into some spectators. Guile tells him not to believe everything he hears.

Later on Guile heads off to a certain building, and flips up a hidden panel. After putting in a code, the door opens and he heads inside, where he meets Escher. Escher says he heard that Guile wasn't very popular at that club, and asks him how he's holding up. Guile tells him that playing a lowlife isn't his idea of a good time. Escher tells him they both know that his deep cover story is vital to the entire Street Fighter operation. The world needs them again.

Escher explains that Guile's new mission is a little more complicated that his usual assignment. No high-tech bombs to defuse, no terrorist army to stop... this time, the enemy is a virus. He explains that the virus could take someone out in a day, and could wipe out the planet in a week. Special operations sent in a team of doctors to contain it, but they're missing. He wants Guile to assemble a Street Fighter team, then find the medics and find out who took them and why.

Guile says they must also not get the sniffles in doing it. Escher tells him that the public can't know about this, it must be a Street Fighter operation. And whatever the cost to him and his team, the virus must not be allowed to spread. Guile asks what he's supposed to do when he finds this virus -give it plenty of liquids and put it to bed? Escher tells him that's up to the medical team. He then pulls out a tape recorder and says it's their last contact with them, and says Guile may have some personal interest. The tape plays a recording of a message of a woman shouting that they are under attack, but is then cut off by the sounds of laser fire.

Escher passes Guile a card and says they'll issue whatever firepower he wants, but Guile scrunches it up and says he knows he hates guns -guns are for wimps. Escher says there isn't enough time to assemble a full team, so Guile has a look at what other operatives are in the area.

Guile is pleased to find that Chun-Li is in the area. Escher tells him that there are also a couple of freelance agents available as well, but Guile isn't too happy to find out it's Ryu and Ken. Escher offers him good luck, and Guile says thanks -with Ken and Ryu, he's going to need it.

In the jungle, Ken excitedly tells Ryu about the diamonds and rubies, and how the temple of lost treasure awaits them. Ryu says it wouldn't be waiting if some bonehead hadn't lost the map. Ken says that he has a photographic memory, and runs off. Ryu follows him, as he says that the temple is right over there... someplace.

As Ken jumps over a tree trunk, Ryu does the same thing, only to be rammed by a pig. He gets some kind of slime on him but tells Ken that that's it, he's out of here. As he walks off, Ken asks about all that treasure -he wants cars, boats, babes!

He manages to convince Ryu that if they don't find that temple after one more day, they'll head home. Ryu says they have until sundown, but then coughs a couple of times. Later on, he and Ryu head into a store where they happen to bump into Guile. Ken asks him what he's doing here, and Guile says he's meeting a friend. Guile buys a few things but doesn't let Ken get his hands on them, as he says they're for his team. Ken asks if he needs some more players, and Guile reluctantly decides to let them tag along -although he's sure he's going to regret it.

Nearby, Chun-Li is dropped off, having traveled by boat. But as she grabs her bags, a trio of thugs decide to grab her, demanding she hands over her money. She says she didn't hear the magic word, and slips out of her poncho. The first guy tries to use a club, but she kicks it with so much force that it shatters into pieces.

After kicking him into the water, the second guy attacks with a chain, but she sweeps him off his feet and then throws him out. The last guy is about to attack, but she uses her spinning bird kick to take him out. Guile walks over and says good morning, and asks what took her so long. She tells him she had a little trouble with her bags.

They head over to the place where the medic team were meant to be, but Ryu and Ken can't find any trails to go on. As Guile tells them to keep looking, Ken whispers to Ryu about when are they going to ditch the team and head for the temple. Ryu reminds him of the Street Fighter code of honor: discipline, justice, commitment. Ken says they've done the code, but Ryu tells him they've done it for an hour. Meanwhile Chun-Li finds a surveillance unit that wasn't melted, and turns it on.

Guile finds a clipboard, along with an ID card for Doctor Lucinda Davila. On the monitor, a video of her sending out a mayday is shown, but it then cuts off and a high pitched sound is heard. Chun-Li says it sounded like high frequency maze arrays, and whoever captured the medics wanted them to still function. She sees Guile with the ID card and asks if he knows her -a little personal history? Guile says it was all in his old life.

Chun-Li says sorry as she didn't know, but Guile tells her she wasn't supposed to. As he walks off and tells her to come on, she tells him Lucinda must be something special. They look at some trees, and Guile points out that the scrapes on the branches indicate military hovercraft -and more than one of them. Ken wonders where they would have got them from, but Guile says this wasn't done by locals. It's Bison! Chun-Li says he's the man who killed her father, and her father's spirit will never rest until Bison pays for his crimes.

At a temple, some natives are minding their own business when they are suddenly attacked. But the attackers don't kill them, they instead use highly pitched waves to get them to surrender.

Inside the temple, Blanka is getting pretty irritated by the noise, and sees what is going on down below. The natives are led into a hovercraft, which takes off and leaves the area. Blanka smashes down the bars and heads after them.

Later on, at the bad guy's base, the captured doctors are introduced to the mastermind of the whole thing: Bison. He welcomes the doctors and says he is most curious about their work. He knows that their operation has been looking for a cure for a virus so deadly. The virus could kill every living human, should it escape this dark place. Lucinda asks him why did they disrupt their work?

Bison tells her it was because they weren't working fast enough. The virus simply hadn't infected enough people for them to study. It might have gotten a few bores and monkeys, but they just didn't have the tools they need to succeed. They need a pool of people to examine and work on. Lucinda says the virus is terminal, and whilst they're close, they still don't have a cure. Infecting innocent people isn't going to change that! Bison says he thinks it will.

He turns on a monitor, revealing a room with a canister in it. He says that in twelve hours, the hatch will open, and the balloon containing the virus will explode. Its contents will coat everything in the room.

He then has the captured natives sent into the room, and says they will become infected. Lucinda tells him to stop it, but he says it's up to her team to save them. And when they have succeeded, let him know.

Elsewhere, Guile come across a spot where it looks like there was some sort of struggle, but whoever was here is now gone. Suddenly he is attacked by Blanka, who leaps down onto him. He demands to know what have they done with them, and is about to use his electrical powers.

Before he can, Guile throws a sonic boom which knocks him back. They're about to resume fighting when they recognize each other. Blanka wants to know why he is here and what has he done with his brothers? Ken then bluntly questions Blanka's existence -isn't he supposed to be dead or something? As Blanka is about to get mad, Chun-Li calms him down by saying they're just all surprised to see him.

Blanka tells them that after Bison turned him into this, he came here so no one would ever have to look at him again. He feels that he can't be with people, as he gets angry. Chun-Li asks him who are the brothers he was talking about, and he explains that they are the Incan mystics of the temple. He lived like an animal in the rainforest, until they found him, and healed him. Ken whispers to Ryu about what Blanka just said -"temple"!

Blanka goes on to say that his brothers have lived here for a thousand years, and are peaceful and wise. They had left for meditation, but now they're gone... but Guile's here! He again demands to know where his brothers are, but Guile says he doesn't know. But he thinks he knows who took them: Bison. Blanka doesn't think Bison could even be alive, buy Guile asks him to come with them -they'll fight Bison together, it'll be like old times. Blanka says he'll fight with him this one time, until his brothers are safe.

Meanwhile Bison wants to know how the good fight is going, but Lucinda tells him to get away from her. Every second he distracts her cuts the chances of saving those people. Bison laughs and takes this as meaning they're closing in on a vaccine for his volunteers. She tells him they're close to a treatment, then tells him to go away. Nearby, Chun-Li calls out for Ken and Ryu, but they've gone. Guile says they lasted longer than he thought, but Chun-Li wants to know why he bothered bringing them on this mission in the first place. Guile says it's because they could be the best -if they quit flaking off for a minute and concentrated. Discipline, justice, commitment... Ken thinks it just means less time to party. Besides, he thought Chun-Li liked them!

At the temple, Ken leads Ryu to some treasures, but Ryu still doesn't think they should be here. He doesn't think this is right as these things don't belong to them -what about their code? Ken tells him to wake up and smell the silver polish -if Bison has got Blanka's brothers, they won't be needing this stuff any more. Ryu is about to say something in response, but he instead suddenly collapses.

At Bison's base, Guile and Chun-Li sneak in, but get spotted by a guard. The guard tells them to stop, but Guile jump kicks him, causing him to drop his gun.

Guile tells him guns are a no-no, which causes the guard to flee. But as he runs off, he trips a laser, causing the alarms to go off. Guile says he hates it when that happens.

Guile and Chun-Li have no option but to start fighting everybody. Blanka then jumps in and lands on a generator. Using his own electricity, he overloads it, causing the lights to explode and the alarms to switch off.

Bison wonders what's going on out there and heads off to investigate, but takes Lucinda with him -she may prove to be useful yet. Chun-Li kicks down a door and finds all of the other doctors, who quickly head out. Meanwhile Bison heads over a hidden computer. Lucinda asks him what he is doing...

...and he says he's terminating the experiment. He activates the self destruct, and soon lots of supplies are getting blown up. Blanka then appears before Bison. Bison asks if that is him -he was sick to think he'd lost him at Shadaloo.

Blanka attempts to attack him, but before he can get close, Bison uses his magnetic powers to push him back. He crashes into some crates, but he gets back up and uses his rolling attack.

This time he manages to hit Bison, knocking him back. As Blanka starts to slash up the computer, Bison tells him his ingratitude leaves him no choice. His friends had eleven hours left to live... how time flies. He pushes a button on his remote, and then runs off. Blanka quickly leaps over to the place where his brothers are being held, and rips the door off.

He tells them to quickly get out of here, but as they leave, there are only a couple of seconds left on the timer. Blanka leaps up and grabs the balloon, which explodes and covers him with the virus.

Everyone hears Blanka's screams, but then Guile heads over and sees Lucinda -who he calls Cindy. He asks if she's alright, but she asks why is he here? She wonders if he works for this Bison creature, but he tells her that whatever she thinks of him, he hasn't fallen that low. She says the old William Guile wouldn't have.

But since the court marshall, she feels that she doesn't know him any more. She asks again why is he here, but he says he can't tell her. He wants to, but he can't. She says they used to trust each other, and she used to think she meant something to him. As she walks off, Guile says she still does. Just then, Blanka stumbles out and collapses.

Lucinda tells Chun-Li and Guile to be careful, as Blanka has been exposed. She's not sure if she can help him. Guile screams Bison's name, and rushes off to find him. Bison is about to make his escape via hover jet, but Guile finds him. Bison says that normally, he wouldn't miss the chance to fight him.

He uses his magnetic pulse to send Guile flying back, and says that soon something in the night air won't agree with him. He gets onto his hover jet and takes off.

Guile gets up and manages to grab onto the landing gear. He starts to climb up, but Bison notices him and uses his magnetic pulse to push him back, then snap off the landing gear and cause him to fall.

Guile manages to grab onto a branch, which snaps, but it's enough to slow his fall. He lands on top of a Shadaloo tank, but it's Ken who's operating it. He asks him what's wrong -didn't his scam not pan out? Ken says that Ryu reminded him of what their Street Fighter code really stands for. But he wants him to help Ryu, as he's now real sick.

Lucinda tries to help Ryu, but she says that all she can do now is make him comfortable -and that's about all. Ken says doctors have a pill for everything, just as Chun-Li calls Lucinda over. It's Blanka, but he's still alive -and he says he's thirsty. Lucinda says he shouldn't even be alive.

She attaches a device to Blanka's arm and says she doesn't believe it -this is it! Whatever Bison did to Blanka to transform him into what he is now, has altered his immune system. He's producing antibodies that are fighting the virus. His blood can cure anyone that gets sick from this. It could cure Ryu and be the basis for a vaccine! The next morning, Guile tells Blanka that the Street Fighters need him -and he needs him. They work in secret, with no glory -but no interference. Discipline, justice, commitment... they make a difference. He tells Blanka to think about it.

As Blanka walks off, Chun-Li hopes Guile realizes he's asking Blanka to leave his life here, where he's found peace. He can't know what that will cost him -giving up the one thing he loves most in his life. Guile watches as Lucinda boards a helicopter. She turns around to look at him...

...but he turns away. The helicopter doors shut and it takes off. As Guile tosses her Lucinda's ID card aside, he tells Chun-Li he has some idea.

Ryu and Ken then walk over. Ryu thanks Blanka, but Ken says they both want to thank him -thank all of them -for what they did for Ryu. He asks them if they want to hang out, as he's heard Tierra del Fuego got some killer waves. Ryu tells him to wait a minute -he'd said there was work there!

Blanka tells Guile that for ten years, he got into nothing but trouble hanging around with him -any sane person would stay a thousand miles away... so count him in! Guile is happy Blanka has decided to join the team, but Blanka asks about the thirty bucks Guile owes him from Mindanao... Guile tells him to wait a minute!
