An early script is available in the show's writer's guide, although there's a very big difference with it -originally, Kombat Begins Again, the first episode, and Sting of the Scorpion, the second episode, were meant to be one single episode. They would end up being split, and some extra scenes added to get the split episodes up to the required running time.

RAYDEN
So where's the rip?!
NIGHTWOLF
Mountains. Tibet.
RAYDEN
There's an ancient burial ground in those mountains. It's built into the side of the cliff face like a fortress. If Scorpion takes it before you do, he could hold it indefinitely.
STRYKER
That works both ways. If Scorpion holds up in his burial fort, we'll be able to keep him pinned down there.

Rayden's eyes don't crackle in the episode, nor does he shake his head. The script is missing his "Ah ah ah" he says before the rest of this line.

In the episode, Sonya isn't seen backing away, and no energy crackles off Rayden. The script is also missing Sonya's "Yeah, but I don't have to like it" line.

In the episode, this doesn't happen. The screen is already in the shot, Liu just presses a button to turn it on.

EPISODE DIALOGUE
RAYDEN
There may be a dimensional portal hidden in those tombs! If Scorpion can reach it, he'll be able to invade several other realms.
RAYDEN
"Hidden portals" are one of the elements that make Earth such a prize.
KITANA
In my realm and most others, these special portals do not exist. But your Earth is like a way-station between all dimensions.
RAYDEN
If Scorpion gets it, we lose.
KITANA
Would it help to talk about it Liu?

LIU KANG
Oh... what?

KITANA
It's strange for you seeing Sub-Zero again, isn't it?
LIU KANG
The truth is, I-I've never been sure I could have defeated Sub-Zero's brother without your help, Kitana.

In the episode, Kitana says "To win, you must use the component which brings life" before saying the above line. This line is missing from the script.

The script is missing a scene where Sub-Zero talks to Stryker about Scorpion.

The script states to show the temple here, but in the episode, we see the above instead.

The script wanted the flying craft to look like gargoyles. In the episode, they resemble scorpions.

This is never seen happening in the episode.

A major difference in the script is that Scorpion was supposed to have an army of ninjas assisting him. In the episode, he has an army of skeleton warriors. The script is also missing Sonya's "Jax, check it out -they look like skeletons!" line.

JAX
Watch it girl! You're doing some serious tailgating!

SONYA
Don't be such a wuss!
JAX
Then don't by such a psycho!

ACT 3

In the episode, the jet doesn't flip over when it crashes.

SCRIPT
EPISODE DIALOGUE
JAX
Girl, you're a real pain in the-

Jax is never heard saying this line in the episode. Instead, Sonya says "I don't believe it -they are skeletons! I don't have the stomach for this.".

SCRIPT
EPISODE DIALOGUE
SONYA
Forget squeamish -now I'm ticked! Who wants to wear my ring?!
JAX
Rest in peace. Or should I say pieces?

In the episode, the dialogue was changed so Scorpion says his line first.

In the episode, there are no flames present during this shot.

This was changed so in the episode, Stryker somersaults towards a skeleton and drop kicks him instead.

In the episode, this was changed so Sub-Zero completely freezes a skeleton, causing it to fall off the jet and shatter.

The script is missing several scenes at this point -after the episode was split, some extra scenes were added to get it up to the required running time. The scenes where Scorpion raises the dead through to Liu, Kitana and Sub-Zero battling the beast in the tunnel aren't in the script.

SCRIPT
EPISODE DIALOGUE
LIU KANG
Kitana! Sub-Zero's going after Scorpion. He may need help.

The script is missing Sub-Zero's "out of my way!" line, which he says before the above Liu Kang line in the episode.

In the episode, this was changed so Scorpion says his line last. Sub-Zero's line was changed to "You're going to pay for what you've done to my clan". The script is also missing Scorpion's line about his prize of Shang Tsung, and Sub-Zero's line about taking Scorpion down.

SCRIPT
EPISODE DIALOGUE
SCORPION
You're mine, traitor. Soon you will join my army of the dead!

In the episode, Sub-Zero isn't seen pointing here.

In the episode, Scorpion raises his hand, which causes the statue in front of him to glow.

In the episode, Scorpion doesn't laugh after saying this line.

The script's notes about Liu missing with his moves didn't make it into the episode. Sub-Zero was given more dialogue here -after the above line, he then says "Believe in yourself".

The script wanted Liu to use his bicycle kick here, but in the episode he does a flying kick instead.

SCRIPT
EPISODE DIALOGUE
LIU KANG
Sub-Zero... without honor, you're no better than your brother...

Originally, Sub-Zero was just meant to throw Scorpion into the portal, then say a line about finishing him. The episode completely changed this scene. Sub-Zero just places Scorpion down, and Rayden then appears telling Sub-Zero to finish him and that Scorpion just bought a one-way ticket to the Realm of Lost Souls. Sub-Zero then freezes Scorpion, sending him sliding into the portal. In the script, Rayden doesn't appear here at all.

In the episode, Sonya isn't seen doing anything with her hands here. Kitana isn't seen rushing to Liu's side either.

SCRIPT
EPISODE DIALOGUE
SONYA
All Scorpion's bone patrol are out of commission!

STRYKER
A fine job, Liu Kang!

The script is missing Sub-Zero's line about Liu showing with hatred there is never honor.

SCRIPT
EPISODE DIALOGUE
JAX
Nice going, guys! Scorpion's got a wicked sting.

The script's ending features dialogue that would end up being used for the first episode's ending instead, although Rayden's "mortal butts" line was cut. Sonya's line about a vacation is used in the second episode, but it loses the "man" part.
