God Ginrai is down for the moment, so Overlord goes over to BlackZarak and asks him who he is. BlackZarak transforms to his robot mode.

BLACKZARAK

BlackZarak does not state his name to Overlord, but just pushes him aside, He goes up to God Ginrai and kicks him down. Overlord against asks who he is, but BlackZarak just says he will kill God Ginrai.

Overlord introduces himself and asks for the third time of the name of his fellow Destron. BlackZarak finally answers, explaining that the Emperor summoned him here. He draws out a gun and takes a shot at God Ginrai.

Overlord tells him to wait, as if something were to happen to BlackZarak then he would be disgraced for not fulfilling his duty. He leaps at God Ginrai, but gets thrown. God Ginrai gets up and takes a look at BlackZarak, saying that the Destron's plan must have been to bring him to Earth.

He also thinks that BlackZarak was the one who caused the asteroids to hit the Earth, but Overlord just tells him to ask the Emperor. This surprises God Ginrai, as he thought Overlord was the Destron leader, but is there someone above him? Overlord says he relies on the Emperor, but he shouldn't be taken lightly. He resumes his attack, and uses the Mega Child. God Ginrai uses one of his new fists to counter it.

Overlord gets blasted by a shot from the Godcannon, and is sent flying. BlackZarak then resumes his fight, and calls forth his Tyrant Spear. He starts swinging it at God Ginrai.

On Earth, Hawk tries to contact God Ginrai, but he can't get through to him. Lander suggests they shouldn't worry about it, and instead says they should drink some wine until their communications clear up. Cab can't believe he wants to start drinking at a time like this, but Lander says it is because it is a time like this. He, Diver and Phoenix leave the room, whilst Lightfoot tells Hawk they must believe in their leader. Grand Maximus should be arriving at the Moon soon anyway.

On the Moon, BlackZarak throws God Ginrai into a crater. He leaps down after him, transforms, and then tries to tear his head off by using his pincers. God Ginrai thinks about how much effort everyone put into Godbomber, and tells BlackZarak he won't let someone like him reach Earth. He kicks BlackZarak off him and flies away.

Overlord separates into the separated transtectors, and Giga and Mega are soon after him. But Mega gets shot down by a Godcannon blast, so Overlord tells her to unite. They transform into Overlord again, as God Ginrai lands behind them. But before he can do anything, BlackZarak transforms to robot mode and starts shooting at him.

Back on Earth, the Cybertrons are getting anxious, but then they receive an incoming call. However it isn't God Ginrai, but is actually Grand Maximus. Grand finds out that they can't seem to contact God Ginrai, but he says he is almost at the Moon and will contact them again once he gets there. On the Moon...

...Overlord takes aim at God Ginrai and says that this is the end, but he'll listen to any last words he has. God Ginrai thinks that is kind of him, and tells him to tell his comrades on Earth that a Cybertron fights to the very end! He separates from Godbomber. Overlord starts firing at Super Ginrai...

...oblivious to the fact that Godbomber can operate by itself. He gets hit by a Godcannon shot. But BlackZarak appears again, and starts shooting at Super Ginrai.

He blasts him down another crater and takes aim to finish him off. But before he can fire another shot, Grand Maximus arrives and starts shooting at him. BlackZarak is forced to move back, as Grand Maximus transforms from spaceship to robot.

GRAND MAXIMUS

Grand Maximus apologises to Super Ginrai for being late. He then stares BlackZarak down and says he must be the one that the Destrons have sent to Earth. He won't allow the Destrons to turn the Earth into a fortress. BlackZarak says he may know their plans well, but that's it. The two start to fight.

Super Ginrai pulls himself out of the crater and contacts Hawk. He says he has taken damage to one if his shoulders, but he is alright and Grand Maximus has saved him. He also explains that the Destron's weapon is BlackZarak, a powerful scorpion-monster who is fighting with Grand right now. He says he can see the Earth, which is a beautiful plant. Unlike the desolate Moon. If even one of the Destrons from space reach the Earth, the planet will become like the Moon. The people of the planet must defend it, much like how the Cybertron Pretenders protected it from their Destron counterparts long a go. It is now his turn to do the same as them!

He kicks BlackZarak off Grand Maximus. Overlord helps BlackZarak up and says that the Emperor is waiting -they can deal with Ginrai later, but they are to head to Earth now. Grand Maximus and Super Ginrai see that they are heading towards Earth, so Super Ginrai becomes God Ginrai again and goes after them with Grand.

God Ginrai manages to get in front of the two Destrons, and fires a shot from the Godcannon to stop them. They draw out their guns and start shooting back at him.

Grand Maximus transforms back to his spaceship mode, and shoots at BlackZarak. BlackZarak goes to deal with him, leaving Overlord to fight God Ginrai. But another Godcannon shot sends Overlord flying back to the Moon, where he crashes and separates. Both Giga and Mega are OK though.

God Ginrai goes to help Grand Maximus, but BlackZarak sees him and keeps him at bay with lasers. But this lets Grand Maximus fire on BlackZarak, knocking him back. Grand tells God Ginrai to get on him, and use one of his ship's cannons. God Ginrai pulls the cannon off the ship, as they both charge towards BlackZarak. BlackZarak transforms into his robot mode and equips his Tyrant Spear.

God Ginrai fires, stopping BlackZarak from hitting them. Grand says he had heard rumours about BlackZarak's strength, and he is indeed strong. If he reaches Earth, the rest of the Destron forces in space may follow! God Ginrai says he won't let that happen, and uses a Choukon power blast...

...to send Blackzarak crashing into the Moon. BlackZarak finds Giga and Mega, who combine back into Overlord. But rather than fight, he tells Overlord to return to Earth and inform the Emperor. Overlord doesn't like being given orders from him, but he warns that he should do as he says, unless he wants to die. This Ginrai is no ordinary being. Overlord reluctantly returns to Earth.

BlackZarak has another go at tearing off God Ginrai's head, but gets punched off. God Ginrai then uses a special version of one of his techniques: "Choukon God Fire Guts"!

BlackZarak is hit by this powerful attack, and it decapitates him. But God Ginrai is surprised to see that his opponent is not dead. Despite not having a head, BlackZarak is still alive, and can still talk. He tells God Ginrai not to forget this, and then flies away. But he is heading away from the Earth.

Grand Maximus says that God Ginrai is exactly what he'd expect from a Commander. God Ginrai is concerned that BlackZarak is still alive, but Grand Maximus says he can leave that to him. He hopes that next time, he and Ginrai can meet on the Earth, and tells him to give his regards to the other Cybertrons in the meantime. He then heads after BlackZarak, as God Ginrai also leaves the Moon and heads back to Earth.

NOTES

The opening few minutes of this episode show some clips from the previous one. One of the shots shows Mega kind of clenching her fist, something that did not happen in the previous episode.

BlackZarak starts this episode in scorpion mode, even though at the end of the previous episode, he was in his robot mode. Strangely, when he transforms for the first time in this episode, kanji showing his name appears on the screen, despite the audience already knowing who he is.

Although strangely, Overlord suddenly doesn't know who BlackZarak is in this episode, and has to repeatedly ask for his name!

The Moon base staff have been completely forgotten about in this episode -but at least the Captain definitely survives, as he appears in Transformers Victory.

Regarding BlackZarak -whilst there is no mention of it in the episode, he is the same character as Scorponok from Transformers: The Headmasters. More about what happened to him between the end of that series and his appearance in this one is explained in the final episode.

And I may as well mention about Grand Maximus, since this episode is the first time you really get to see his ship and robot mode. Grand Maximus is the brother of Fortress Maximus, the Cybertron leader in Transformers: The Headmasters.
