Alucard hears someone telling him to wake up, and he then finds strange man in front of him. The man says that he's the spirit of his gun...Jackal Willis.

Alucard's first reaction to him is to shoot at him, but he begs him to stop. Just hear him out! Alucard stops firing but says that this is ridiculous, and he's going to leave. Willis tells him that he's in the Willis space now, and one does not simply leave Willis space. He'll be spending the rest of his life here, where he can make cameos in various productions regardless of their entertainment value! And stop telling people that Willis weighs 10 kilograms -he weighs 16.

But anyway, the two of them are going to run through Nakatomi plaza. Or he can help him rescue Ving Rhames from being sodomized by wielding nothing but a samurai sword. Then they, along with Steve Buscemi, can sweep the Golden Raspberry Awards by going into space to blow up a meteor.

Along the way they'll get jerked around by a kid with a weird name who can see ghosts, and then they'll roll their taxi to catch Milla Jovoich. Before Willis can say anything else, he gets shot in the head!

Alucard gasps and sees that a house has appeared next to him. The sniper who shot Willis says that was a close call, as that Willis was an imposter. He tells Alucard to watch out for sneak attacks and betrayals, and never let another man choose his weapon. But now it's time for Alucard to wake up, as Seras and Integra are waiting. Alucard then spots Charles de Gaulle.

Charles de Gaulle nearly gets shot in the head, but just happens to move at the last moment. Christopher Walken and Tom Berenger then appear, saying that together, they are the dogs of war. Alucard tells them to stop it.

Maximilian Schell then appears, and says they should kill them all. Alucard screams for them to stop it, but then someone appears, who claims he is "The Emperor".

Yet another man appears, but says his name is "the fourth protocol". Alucard tells him that what he's said makes no sense. One final man then appears, saying that he is the negotiator. Alucard says good luck to him.

In Penwood's base, reports start coming in that they've lost communications with various military bases, including their airforce and navy. The civilian phone lines also appear to have gone down. But a report does come in that a fleet of airships have been spotted, on a direct course for London! Penwood doesn't want to believe the enemy has declared war on them, but Integra says that's exactly what they're doing. The enemy is now at the gate.

The Nazis enter England, and continue on at full speed towards London. Anderson happens to see them fly by. The Major tells his troops that night has fallen, and that they, the invincible warriors of Millennium, will now carry out the promises he's made to them. This is the eve of war.

Doc tells everyone to open up their handbooks, and to start on page 3. Schrödinger has lost his, so Doc tells him to share with the Captain. Meanwhile the Major calls upon Lieutenant Zorin Blitz. He says their primary targets are too bring down Hellsing and Alucard. The men she is going to command will be the vanguard unit. She is to take one of the zeppelins and go to the Hellsing HQ. However she isn't to go into a direct assault yet, and will wait until he and the main force arrive. Zorin doesn't understand why she has to wait, as without Alucard, the Hellsing forces are as weak as children.

The Major shakes his head and tells Zorin not to take the Hellsing women lightly. Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, the head of the legendary Hellsing vampire hunter family, is the only one that Alucard recognizes as his master. Then there's the policewoman, Seras. She might seem to be a joke, but the Major thinks she may not fully understand her own nature yet -which makes her even more fascinating. Whilst they are both inexperienced and imperfect, they are still worthy of being like Alucard -being Millennium's arch-enemies. So he tells Zorin to wait and not engage them straight away. Zorin says her orders are crystal clear.

With that sorted, the Major tells everyone that the floodgates can open. He wants to target Big Ben, the west bank of the Thames and the houses of parliament. Buckingham Palace, Scotland Yard, Westminster Abbey...they can all be destroyed. As his troops ask what to do with other places, such as the British Library and tower bridge, the Major's answer is always the same: destroy them. His troops are to feast to their heart's content. He is passed a glass of wine, which he drops to the floor.

This signals the start of Millennium's attack -which begins with a barrage of rockets. As Big Ben is hit, the streets and other targets go up in flames next, killing thousands of people.

The first attack has crippled London, but the Major wants more. Millennium's paratrooper squads start to drop into the capital. Meanwhile, at the army base, some troops suddenly burst through the door.

They aren't here to help though as they quickly announce that this facility is now under Millennium's control. Some of the base's staff have turned traitor. Penwood demands to know what is going on, but is told to shut up. He just needs to know that today is a very good day for vampires. One of the vampires says how pleased he is to have captured Integra. Integra just laughs, telling him they he and the others are the vampire equivalent of newborns, whilst she and her allies are the institution of their annihilation.

The vampire tells her to shut up, but then has his arm sliced off. Walter is the one who did it, and Integra tells him to clean up. He says he'll take these children across his knee, and as they start firing at him, he uses his wires to make a shield, that stops their bullets. He then quickly destroys them all.

Integra asks Sir Penwood if he's alright, and admits that up until now she thought that he was the traitor in their midst. Penwood says that whilst he's powerless against the vampires, he's not a coward. Reports then start coming in about how London is under attack, but they still can't get word from their other military bases -although it could be possible that they are already engaging the enemy.

Integra says that what just happened here will be happening at the other bases. The facility will be one of Millennium's targets, so they should leave before they get here. She tells Sir Penwood that it's time to go, but he refuses. He says that she and Walter must go back to their headquarters as quickly as possible, as she has a task only she can do now. She says that he must have a death wish to stay here, but he believes that it's still possible they could get their communications back, and start giving out orders again. He's not a strong man, and gets nervous, and he isn't even sure how he got this position. Well, the fact is, he admits, he was born with his title, and his money. He was just handed his position, so now, he feels he cannot leave his post. Integra hands him a special gun, which is loaded with blessed atomized silver tip rounds, which will be more effective against vampires than ordinary iron.

She says the best of luck to him, and he says the same to her. As she and Walter leave, Penwood tells the staff to leave, as he can operate the equipment by himself. But they just laugh at him -they know full well he's too incompetent to do that, and tell him so! So they ignore his order and all vow to stay with him, and begin preparations to defend themselves should Millennium's forces arrive.

Out in the streets, the Nazis have landed and begin killing everything they see. Some of them eat or bite the people they find, which results in a lot people being turned into ghouls.

Some police officers have gotten together and shoot at the ghouls, but then a Nazi drops down and kills them all. Before he can do anything else, he gets shot up by Integra. She looks at the dead police officers and tells them well done, as they've served their country. But now they can rest in peace.

She tells Walter to keep driving. As they drive through the streets, they hear something on the radio. It's Sir Penwood, who is now the only one left alive in the base. He says that this message is to all soldiers, and he hopes someone can hear it. This facility is about to fall, but he wants all soldiers to keep fighting, and do their duty. As he finishes his final transmission, he looks at the gun Integra gave him and thinks back...

He remembers how he first met Integra, and asked Walter if this girl really was the new head of the Hellsing family. Integra thought calling her "this girl" was quite a thing for him to say. She quickly put him in his place, reminding him that she killed her Uncle to become the family head. So he should never call her "this girl" again.

Penwood said he was sorry, as Integra revealed that, before he died, her father said that should she need anything at all, Mr. Penwood would happily provide it. He remembered how Arthur would frequently ask him for new guns, or a helicopter, or some other ridiculous request for equipment. Integra told him that she wouldn't be outdone by her father, and might have some requests of her own.

Back in the present, the barricade gets broken down, as more Nazis storm into the base. The commander spots Penwood and says he put up quite a fight. Penwood starts to laugh, but the commander doesn't see what's so funny and calls him pathetic. Penwood says what the commander is one to talk, as he's an undead maggot, of course it's funny. The Nazis then see that the room has been rigged with a lot of explosives.

Penwood says it was an honor and a privilege to have met Integra, and then detonates the explosives. In the car, Integra and Walter can no longer hear and transmission from the base, instead, they just get static. Integra tells Walter to go faster. Walter starts driving over the numerous ghouls who have appeared in the streets.

Walter suddenly stops the car. Integra asks him what's wrong, but he tells her to take the wheel and find another way out of here. She should not try to find him, and no matter what, she isn't to look back. In the distance, the Captain has appeared, and walks towards them. Walter says that, as he is now, he doesn't know how long he will be able to stand against him. Integra tells him to live through this -and to consider that an order.

Walter attacks, but the Captain grabs his wires without being sliced up by them. Walter says he knew it was him.

Integra has driven off, but the Nazis are onto her. They start firing at her with bullet and then rockets, and the explosions make her spin out and crash the car.

One soldier goes up to the car to kill her, but she decapitates him. The other Nazis tells her no matter how much she struggles, her situation is hopeless. She should give up. Integra says that giving up is something they would say, even though they're cowards who couldn't bear to remain human. They're monsters, and they disgust her. But she wants to fight them rather than surrender.

The Nazis laugh and one goes to attack her, but gets ripped apart by some bayonets. Father Alexander Anderson has arrived, and the Nazis know of him. He mocks Integra by repeating her previous words to the Nazis, but then asks Heinkel if she heard that, or what Yumie thinks about it. Up above, Heinkel and Yumie are waiting. Anderson says that people like Integra are their sworn enemies.

Heinkel tells Anderson that their orders were to do nothing more than just observe for now. Yumie also says that saving Hellsing was a serious breach of their orders. Anderson says what was he supposed to do -just sit back and watch? They're the ones who'll crush them, and are the only ones to deserve to do so. Nobody else can interfere. The Nazis tell Anderson that Iscariot won't stand in their way.

Anderson tells them that the dead don't speak. As Heinkel and Yumie drop down, Anderson says that they won't let the dead raise an army. They'll cut them down like straw, and they'll tremble before him. He then asks the others to speak up and tell them who they are. More of Iscariots forces appear, and drop down. They hold daggers and poison in their right hands, and 30 pieces of silver and straw rope in their left hands. One Nazi decides he's heard enough and charges...

...but this proves to be unwise as Anderson slices his arms off. Anderson tells his soldiers to show who they are. They're apostles, yet not apostles, they are believers, yet not believers, they are disciples, yet not disciples, they are heretics, yet not heretics. They are soldiers in the service of death, who bow their heads and strike down enemies of their God. They serve their poisons at every supper, and their daggers flash in the moonlight. On the hour they are called, they cast their 30 pieces of silver into the sight of the holy place, and with their straw ropes, they hang themselves.

As Anderson continues his speech, his soldiers join in with it and also join in the fighting. Both sides suffer losses, but with Anderson's power, Yumie's incredible swordplay and Heinkel's marksmanship, the Nazis are soon the ones losing. Not that Anderson intends to show them any mercy, as he dives down towards his remaining enemies, slicing them apart.

Out at sea, Alucard says that he is being drawn to his nemesis, and his master. Using his powers, the Eagle moves once more, as Alucard yells to go onward -to the battlefield!

NOTES

This episode adapts part of the manga's fifth and sixth volumes. The silly opening scene is also present in the manga, although the episode goes into more details, such as showing anime versions of Christopher Walken and Tom Berenger instead of just mentioning their names like the manga does. This scene also happens earlier in the manga, before Alucard arrives on the Eagle.
