Broadside sails through what remains of Mars, with Spike and Arcee as passengers. The two of them are checking the status of the area, and after gathering some information they return to base and show it to Fortress. It seems are stable -just -but the universe could be in danger if more planets are destroyed. Fortress says they cannot allow that and that they must put in more effort to find out what the Destrons are doing. Chromedome suggests they attack the Destrons now, but Fortress says no.
Outside, Daniel and Wheelie are having an argument over who is stronger: Fortress or Scorponok. The argument ends when Daniel pushes Wheelie into the lake, whilst calling him weak. The jokes are over though when they two see something in the sky. A glowing object has appeared, and flies right over them before vanishing. Daniel thinks they just saw a UFO.
News of the UFO reaches Fortress on Battleship Maximus. Arcee tells Fortress that the UFO has gone, and it did not cause any damage to their base. Fortress tells the Cybertrons on Athenia to stay on alert, whilst he discusses it with Highbrow and Brainstorm. They don't know if the UFO is part of a Destron plan or if it is an alien encounter, but Fortress intends to give the visitors a warm welcome if they are friendly. He then wants to know where Chromedome and Hardhead are, and they don't appear on any of the monitor screens on the ship. But he then sees that the two have jumped out -heading towards Jaar. Fortress can't believe they are going to try and invade the Destron planet alone, and starts to follow them.
Meanwhile, on Jaar, a Destron called Counterpunch has made a report about the Cybertron Headmaster's movements to Scorponok. Outside, Jaguar and Condor are watching and decide to report these developments to Soundblaster. Back inside, Scorponok sees on the radar that some Cybertrons are heading this way. Counterpunch is surprised as this information he collected stated that the Cybertrons were reinforcing their patrols, nothing about an attack was mentioned.
Scorponok says it doesn't matter, and has MegaZarak transform into scorpion mode. Some Destrons are sent out, and Blitzwing is the first to leave the planet. Chromedome and Hardhead see him, but hide behind some asteroids.
However this was just a distraction, as Weirdwolf and Skullcruncher arrive. Blitzwing comes back and the three Destrons hurl the two Cybertrons towards MegaZarak -who smashes them with his pincers. Skullcruncher thinks it serves them right, whilst Weirdwolf hopes they get lost in space.
Chromedome and Hardhead end up crashing back onto Battleship Maximus, and stagger back inside the ship. Meanwhile, Soundblaster's cassettes report about how Counterpunch has gotten one over them by finding out some information that they didn't find. Soundblaster says they'll just have to find something even better, and decides to head to Earth to take a look. Back in space, MegaZarak has grabbed onto the bottom of Battleship Maximus.
The Cybertrons eventually get him off by using the ship's low engines, but MegaZarak transforms into robot mode and lands on the top of the ship. He starts stomping on it and smashing the guns.
The Cybertrons inside the ship watch as some kind of object appears, and they think it could be the UFO Daniel saw. It is heading straight for them, and when MegaZarak sees it, he jumps off the ship to get out of the way. The UFO passes Battleship Maximus, but does no damage to it.
It has given the Cybertrons the chance to escape, and they do so. MegaZarak watches the UFO as it heads away from them. Transforming MegaZarak back to scorpion mode, Scorponok thinks it couldn't have come at a worse time as he was about to bury Fortress.
At the Destron base on Earth, Soundblaster realises just how hard information is to come by when you actually look for it. Sixshot appears and points out how much of a failure his search has been, but then the two see a bright light. Soundblaster takes cover behind a rock, but Sixshot stays out, saying who he is. However, Sixshot disappears, and when Soundblaster stops hiding, he sees that the light and Sixshot have gone. He decides to go and report this to Scorponok.
The Cybertron Headmasters have returned to Athenia, but Chromedome isn't happy that they fled, he thought their leader could have killed the Destrons. Fortress says that destroying each other in battle is not enough, you have to win. They go outside to where Daniel is, as he tries to contact the alien lifeforms via sound he creates from a musical instrument. Fortress thinks what they saw earlier was the same thing Daniel saw, and wonders if it is friend of foe. It did save them back in the battle with Scorponok.
Back on Jaar, Cyclonus and Scourge report that their preparations for the ceremony are complete. Scorponok says it took them long enough, but they maintain that it was more work than they thought. They have also told the other Destrons about it, and it will be a matter of time until Scorponok rules the universe. Scorponok says that his main target is still Fortress -the Cybertron Headmasters will be destroyed by him.
Back on Athenia, Twincast leads Fortress to a room, saying that someone is waiting inside for them. The door opens, and Fortress is quite surprised to see a Destron pointing a gun at him!
"Quit the jokes, Spacepunch!"
The robot transforms into a car, and then into a different robot. Spacepunch has two different robot modes -in his main robot mode he is a Cybertron, but his alternate robot mode presents him as a Destron, and he is known as Counterpunch. Spacepunch tells Fortress that the Destrons have gone to the Earth's moon -he doesn't think they intend to destroy it though, he thinks a ceremony is being held there. Fortress thinks a ceremony that large could mean trouble for the Earth. Twincast goes off to warn the Cybertrons on Earth, whilst Spacepunch says he'll go back undercover.

MOON STADIUM
Inside the stadium, Cyclonus appears and addresses the Destrons. He tells them that the coronation ceremony for their new Emperor of Destruction, Scorponok, will commence. Scorponok appears and says he is the new leader. He then tells the Destrons to look at the Earth behind him -he will destroy Fortress and the Cybertron City with his own hands.
Scorponok then turns around and sees that Battleship Maximus is approaching. He tells the Destrons not to panic -the greatest part of the ceremony is about to begin. The Cybertron Headmasters leave their ship and start to fight with their Destron counterparts, whilst the Trainbots hover over the stadium...
...and let out the Airbots, Protectbots and Techbots, who all combine into their super robot forms and start firing. Meanwhile, Scorponok has transformed MegaZarak into robot mode, but Fortress smashes Battleship Maximus straight into him. Before they can really have a battle, the bright light appears over the stadium. Soundblaster arrives on the moon and is about to tell MegaZarak about what happened on Earth, but then sees the light again.
The light starts shooting at the Cybertrons, but then becomes so bright everyone has to shield their eyes. As the light dies down, someone appears out of it -Sixshot! The Destrons are surprised, but Sixshot just asks what is up -don't they recognise him?
The light stops, revealing it was covering up a ship. The ship emits a bright light under it, and out of the light steps a Destron -it is Galvatron! He just asks if they are surprised, and the Cybertrons certainly seem to be -they thought he was dead. Galvatron tells the Destrons to scrap the Cybertrons.
Every Destron around runs towards the enemy and fires on them, quickly overwhelming them all. Fortress tells everyone to withdraw.
Galvatron tells the Destrons not to bother following the Cybertrons -they can waste them at any time. Scorponok is silent, but inside he is extremely angry -of all the times he could come back, Galvatron has come back now?! Galvatron says he has been observing them during his absence, and, having seen the stadium, says how Scorponok really seems to have made himself at home.
He has also heard from Sixshot about how good Scorponok had become, however, now that he is back, he will be taking command of the Destrons. The Destron Emperor of Destruction, Galvatron, is alive, and under his leadership, the Destrons will destroy the Cybertrons! All Scorponok can do is watch, as the other Destrons cheer Galvatron's words.
Back on Athenia, the Cybertrons are surprised that Galvatron is still alive, and that he has been made into the Destron leader again. It seems that UFO was just Galvatron all along. Daniel is obviously upset, and leave the room shouting that he hates UFOs. Wheelie follows him outside, but Daniel's anger doesn't change the fact that Galvatron is back. With him as the Destron leader, the Destrons will be even more fiendish.
