An archeology expedition is digging through some ancient ruins. The group is led by Cheng Sizan, who is being lowered down deep into the ruins. As he reaches the ground, he comes across a chest with pictures on it.

Cheng sees that these are exactly like the murals at Rhodes. He opens up the chest, and finds what he wanted: a piece of the armor of Mars.

Alexandria, Egypt

Outside, Cheng contacts his team, and tells them to pull up the chest. The guy operating the crane is about to start when someone called Jamin comes up to him and punches right through the truck's window, killing him. A guard pulls out his gun and fires a shot.

Jamin catches the bullet and then throws it back, killing the guard. Two more guards run out.

Jamin uses his fire powers to deal with them. Cheng heads back to the surface, wondering why his team are taking so long. But he quickly sees that everything is on fire!

He runs towards his car, but then someone bursts out of some water: Panni.

Panni leaps up and throws out many small projectiles, which hit some containers. As Cheng runs off, the containers explode, but he makes it to his car.

Cheng says the armor is his, he's not going to let them have it. He then notices someone else waiting: Hauer. Hauer can control the wind, and uses it to create a projectile which slices the top of Cheng's car off.

Cheng manages to drive off, but then someone else gets in his way: Laocorn.

Cheng yells at him to move, but Laocorn fires an energy blast at him. The car is destroyed, but Cheng crawls out, still holding the piece of armor. Laocorn says the armor is his, and asks for it to be passed to him. Cheng responds by throwing an energy projectile at him.

Laocorn moves out of the way, and punches Cheng in the gut, taking him down. Jamin, Hauer and Panni appear, and Panni places the armor piece onto Laocorn's leg. The piece or armor changes form when it is attached.

Laocorn laughs and says there are just three pieces to go. He leaps up high into the air, and unleashes a gigantic energy blast.

This causes a big explosion. Panni wonders if that's the armor's power, or Lord Laocorn's own power. Laocorn says there are six legendary pieces of armor, and once he has them all, he'll become a god!

Meanwhile, Terry is about to board a plane. He turns around and says that a storm is coming.

Fatal Fury
The Motion Picture

At an arena, a fight is about to take place. It's Joe Higashi's first fight since his battle with Krauser, and after doing a few moves, he's ready for action.

He walks into the packed arena, and the announcer says Joe needs no introduction, he's risen like a phoenix after his 10 month absence. As Joe gets into the ring, Andy and Mai are watching.

Joe's opponent is Hwa Jai. The bell sounds, and Hwa goes on the attack.

Hwa seems to overwhelm Joe, not letting him get an attack in. Mai yells to Joe to throw a punch, and worries he's still suffering from his injuries. But Andy thinks Joe is quite an actor.

Hwa hits Joe with a kick which sends him on the ropes. He charges forward...

...but Joe sees his chance, and knocks Hwa out by kneeing him in the face. The ref checks on Hwa, and then declares Joe the winner.

Joe celebrates his win. Later on, there's a party in his honor, and he gets to meet Reiko Chiba! She congratulates him and tells him to keep fighting. Meanwhile, Mai puts a necklace on Andy, although he'd rather not wear it.

Joe tells them to stop acting like newlyweds, they need to remember that he's the star tonight! Mai thinks Joe is a real joker saying that. Andy wonders where his brother is, but Joe says Terry called from the airport, and will be here soon. Andy thinks Terry should have called him, as it's his first time in Japan. He would have picked him up if he'd asked.

A young girl called Sulia runs into a game center, followed by three shadowy figures. Inside the game center is Terry, who is playing (and losing) on one of the games. The kid watching tells him he's bad at this, and Terry says he guesses he is. He gets up, and tells the kid he has someplace to be.

As he gets up he bumps into Sulia. Sulia apologizes and says it was her fault for being in a hurry. She runs off, but as she does, three guys wearing masks smash through the ceiling.

They land next to Sulia and surround her. As they start to approach her, Terry throws his bag at one of them and says he doesn't know who they are, but three big guys against one little girl doesn't seem fair.

The masked fighters attack him, but he takes them all down. But they all get back up again, and resume fighting.

Terry uses his crack shoot technique, which shatters the mask off one of the men. The other two pick him up and disappear with him out of the game center.

Terry tells Sulia she's safe now, but the kid watching him earlier says she ran off already. Sulia arrives at Joe's party, where she starts her search for Terry Bogard. She asks one of the guests, Big Bear, if he knows if Terry is here. Big Bear says he'd heard Terry had been invited, but he hasn't seen him.

Joe, Mai and Andy meet Kim. Joe finds out that Kim has come from Korea just to see Terry, and Kim says he heard Terry was Joe's best friend -so he's sorry to impose. Joe says not to worry about it, as any friend of Terry's is a friend of his. Mai wonders if Terry has gotten lost, but Joe thinks it's because Terry can be a bit slow at times. Terry then appears, asking who Joe is calling slow. He sees that Kim is here too.

Kim says it has been a while, and he's been training hard since their last meeting. He asks Terry for another fight. Andy then sees a kid called Dong come up to him. He asks him what's wrong, but he doesn't respond. Kim explains that Dong is his son.

Mai asks him what his name is, but he turns away. Kim explains that his son's name is Dong Hwan, but says that he's shy around strangers. Kim's wife, Myeng Swuk, then walks up with their other son, Jae Hoon. Myeng says her husband has told her so much about them all. She congratulates Joe on his victory.

Joe thanks her, but Mai reminds him that Myeng is already taken. Joe asks what is she talking about?! Just then, one of the guests screams. A masked fighter smashes down some glass, holding a beaten up guest.

He throws the guest at someone else, then starts to walk towards Sulia. Big Bear charges forward...

...only for the masked fighter to throw out an energy blast, defeating him. Terry and Andy are ready to fight, but Kim stops them. He asks for them to let him handle this, as he'd like his sons to see their father in battle. Terry tells him that the mask is the weak point.

Kim changes outfits and runs forward, before leaping up and trying a kick. But the masked fighter blocks it, and smashes him into the ground.

Kim is thrown into one of the windows, which he bounces off of. The masked fighter then punches him in the face, pinning him against the window with so much force that a bit of it shatters. The masked fighter starts to walk away, but Kim gets back up. He says the fight's not over yet.

Joe is about to intervene, but Terry tells him to stop. Joe doesn't think Kim can take any more, but Terry tells him to look into the eyes of Joe's sons. He does so and sees that neither of them are scared of what is happening to their father. Kim lands a couple of kicks on his opponent, but they don't seem to do any damage, and the masked fighter resumes punching him in the face.

Dong Hwan tells his father not to give up. Kim then uses the phoenix kick, which consists of several kicks that knock the masked fighter around. Kim ends the move with a flying swallow slash somersault, which breaks off the mask.

As everyone checks on Kim, Joe tells Terry to look at this. The masked fighter is Cheng Sinzan, and Terry wonders why this old guy would do something like this.

Sulia tells him it's because of the mask. She introduces herself, and says that she'd heard Terry had defeated Krauser, so she came here to find him. She says she needs him and his strength, she needs his help. She begs for his help, as otherwise, they'll get the armor. Terry asks her to wait, as this has come out of nowhere. Andy asks her what she means about the armor. Sulia says she can't explain right now, but asks them to come with her to the isle of Rhodes.

Terry says it sounds interesting, so he says he'll go. Andy says he'll go too, as he wants to see what it was that made Cheng so much stronger. Mai says not to forget about her and Joe, and whilst Terry isn't sure what they're getting into, he says they're all world class fighters. Sulia thanks them all.

Joe says he doesn't know what's going on, but it's off to the Mediterranean they go! Jae Hoon imitates Joe's pose, but Mai warns him not to copy what strange men do. Terry thinks about what's going on, and he feels that his blood is racing -what is he getting himself into? The group head to the Mediterranean via plane.

Rhodes Island, Mediterranean Sea

As they set sail in a boat, Sulia explains that 2,300 years ago, Alexander the Great created an empire stretching from eastern Europe to western Asia. He went east, searching for the ends of the Earth, but was stopped at the Indus River. History says he collapsed from the fatigue of a long campaign, but inscriptions say that at Rhodes he was weakened in a battle with their king: Gaudemus. Gaudemus had powers which which on par with Mars, the God of War. Alexander struck a truce with Gaudemus, and returned to his home in Babylon. Alexander never forgot Gaudemus' strength, and invited him to Babylon. But soon after that, Alexander fell ill and died. The generals of Babylon, who were fearful of Gaudemus' power, ambushed him and burned him alive. Terry's group head into a cave, as Sulia finishes the story.

She says that Gaudemus' armor, known as the armor of Mars, survived the inferno without any damage made to it. Sulia then leads the group to some paintings, and explains that one of them represents Gaudemus. It's said his rage flowed into the armor, which transformed into Mars itself and set Babylon ablaze.

Just when it seemed that everyone may die, four warriors arose and challenged Mars. After a brutal fight, the armor was split into six pieces, and sealed away. The pieces were scattered throughout Alexander's empire, so the terror could never return. She and her brother are descendants of Gaudemus. If one who bears the blood of Gaudemus should don the six pieces of armor, he'd acquire the power of Mars again, and redeem their cursed bloodline.

Her brother Laocorn has inherited the power of Gaudemus, but he also inherited his rage! Just then the ceiling above Sulia starts to cave in. Terry dashes forward and pushes her out of the way, but they are now separated from the others!
