Humankind, indulgent during peacetime, fell into madness, and was eventually struck by a hammer. Nuclear flames scorched the entire land. Everything was destroyed.

Order and human compassion were left in ashes, and the few survivors were left to face the dark end of an era. A world where power was everything, power was justice. A time where those with power had everything...

...and those without power could only cower in fear.

My Fists are
for the Heavens!

Three villagers are returning home, having been on a long trip to get some milk. But they then see a biker gang heading their way, and quickly hide. The gang ride past, yelling about what a great haul they've got, and how great it is that they can take whatever they want by force.

As they ride on, one of the villagers notices that they have a flag made out of a child's dress. He knows it's the dress of one of the children in his village, and realizes what's happened.

The world was now made up of those who took and those who they took from. Those without power could only clench the dry soil and pray for a savior to bring peace in these troubled times.

The biker gang come to a stop when they come across a man standing in the middle of the road: Raoh. They wonder why a guy as big as him is just standing there, but he tells them to move. They all laugh at him.

One of them says that they're the invincible Jirai gang, and they demand for Raoh to move out of the way. Another one says to stop wasting time on this idiot, and asks Raoh to let them pass. Raoh refuses, and points upwards. He says that if he strays from his path, the heavens will laugh at him. The gang think he's crazy, and as he starts walking forwards, they surround him.

The gang leader, Jirai, thinks they're being noisy, and gets up. He thinks Raoh's comments about the heavens laughing is nonsense, as what have the heavens ever done? They merely razed the land to bring about this age of power. With power, you can do anything you want, which means this is their time. He looks at Raoh and thinks he has a nice body, and asks him if he wants to join his gang. He'll even make him a captain, if he works hard enough. Raoh thinks that's not good enough, so Jirai asks him what he wants. Raoh says he wants the world.

Jirai thinks he's a fool, and decides to teach him a lesson. He says that the idiots and weaklings can't survive in this age, and tells Raoh to take this. He pulls out a chain and uses it as a whip, but Raoh avoids it. He removes his cloak and says that cheap tricks won't work against his fists. He then splits Jirai in half with one punch...

...which also blows apart a building behind them. Raoh says Jirai was exactly right: the foolish and the weak cannot survive. The gang decide to let Raoh pass, but he picks up Jirai's bike. He tells them they are cowards who cannot even stay on their own path.

He swings the bike around, killing all but one of them. He tells him to leave, and carry the tales which will shake the world. His name is Raoh! Raoh then turns around and leaves.

He walks on for a bit, when someone else slides down and gets in his way. Without a word, the man run towards him and goes to punch him, so Raoh does the same. But they both stop their fists short.

The man removes his mask, revealing he is Soga. Soga asks him if he really walked this way, and Raoh says one cannot turn from his path -if he turned, the heavens would laugh. Soga thinks he hasn't changed, but Raoh asks where Reina is. Soga says they'll meet her up ahead. He then says it's finally come. Raoh pledges to the gods that he will rule, and will use the fists the heavens have granted him to save this world.

They continue walking, but there's a building in the way. Soga says they should go around, but Raoh refuses to turn from his path. He punches a hole in the building, whilst Soga decides to go a different way.

Later on, at Devil Rock castle, Reina is performing for Goram, the Demon King. He tells her well done, and says it's as if an angel has come down to this steel fortress. He says that from today, she'll dance for him every day, and his officials will rejoice when they can admire her dance at every feast. But he then realizes his officials don't deserve to see her, and decides to make Reina his wife instead.

He promises her that if she does this, she can have any luxury she wants. Reina thinks his words are more than a humble dancer from another land could ever deserve. She asks for one favor: she has been journeying with Soga, her flute playing brother, along with a koto player. She would like for Goram to hire them to work here as well. Goram agrees to this, considering it to be a simple matter. He thinks Soga is quite skilled with that flute, and Soga thanks him for his words. Goram then asks where the koto player is. Reina says he's a little late, but should arrive shortly. Soga says the koto player insists on taking his own path, without taking any shortcuts.

Goram asks what he means, and Reina explains that the sound of the koto is so beautiful that once it's paired with Soga's flute, her dance will shine brighter. Goram says he looks forward to seeing it, but as it appears that he hasn't arrived yet, he thinks they should have fun by themselves! Meanwhile, Raoh arrives at the castle.

Some of Goram's guards wonder who he is, and warn him that they're the demon army. Raoh says he was invited here by their Demon King, but they think Goram would never have invited someone like Raoh here. They see the koto on his back and wonder if he's a musician who was invited to the feast, and Raoh says that's right. They think it's strange a musician would have such a huge body, and demand for him to play something on the koto right now. Raoh doesn't respond, so they tell him if he can't play anything, then they won't let him through. Raoh tells them that this instrument isn't meant for the ears of fools like themselves. They think he must want to die, and run towards him.

Raoh does a single punch, and as they wonder what that was, nearly all of them explode. Raoh tells the last one standing to take him to his leader, so he can let him hear his koto.

Back in the castle, Goram has grabbed Reina, and says she will become his wife. He really wants to see her fair skin underneath her costume, and removes her top. Someone then runs in, and says that a man claiming to be a musician wants to meet Goram. The man has destroyed the soldiers who tried to stop him, but Goram says the man is one of Reina's companions, so they can let him in.

Before the guard can do anything, Raoh stomps him into the ground. Reina says Raoh has been ill-mannered since birth, and asks for him to be forgiven. Goram says he'll refrain from making her look bad, and then asks to hear Raoh's koto playing. Raoh tells him to listen well to the sound of this, and then shatters his instrument.

He says he can't play the koto, but this place pleases him. He will be taking this castle to be a base for his rule. One of Goram's underlings tells Raoh he must not understand what he is saying to the Demon King. Raoh says that in the Land of Asura, the place where he was born, the Demon King would be the king of the dead. He thinks it's laughable Goram has given himself that title.

One of the officials orders for some guards to come in, and they wait behind Raoh. One of them tells him he won't be leaving this castle alive, but Raoh thinks that pissants should keep their mouths shut, as this is a battle between kings. The guards are about to attack, but Reina then runs over. She pulls out two swords, and does a few very fast attacks...

...which slice up the guard's weapons. She tells them not to do anything stupid, and then tells Goram that her dance routine was merely a disguise. Soga also says he's also not a musician, it was part of an act he devised to get into this castle.

Goram laughs at the idea that the three of them intend to conquer his castle. He thinks they don't know their own place, and he then goes into a stance:

GABI KEN

(Emei Fist)

Raoh thinks perhaps Goram does have some skill. The guards tell him that the Demon King will end him with one blow! Raoh says that the emei fist is like child's play in the face of his own style: the North Star divine fist.

The North Star divine fist, passed down for 1,800 years under the seven stars in the sky. A fearsome assassination art which attacks the vital points of a human being, causing it's victims to explode.

The technique is only passed on to one successor per generation, never to an outsider. Over 1,800 years, it has never been defeated by a different martial art. It is said to have protected emperors generation after generation, much as the North Star protects the Heavenly Lord.

Raoh says his name, and tells Goram to take it to hell with him. Goram has heard that the world will fall into chaos when the North Star appears, and asks Raoh if he intends to send the world into chaos. Raoh says it's the other way around -he shall uses the fists the heavens have granted him to save this world from chaos!

GABI KITOTSU KEN

(Emei Ogre Void Fist)

Raoh says cheap tricks won't work against his fists, and then opens his hand. Out drop several shuriken Goram had just thrown at him. Goram is surprised at this, as the technique he just used has sent many martial artists to their deaths. Raoh calls his technique pathetic, as hidden weapons are not fit for martial arts. He wants Goram to show him his secret techniques, as he's supposed to be a man who is called "king"! Goram tells Raoh to watch this, and leaps towards him:

GABI KEN OUGI: YUUMEI ROUGA KEN

(Emei Fist Secret Technique: Spirit Wolf Fang Punch)

Raoh thinks Goram will become part of his legend when he descends into hell. Goram continues to dive down, but Raoh uses a technique of his own style:

HOKUTO SHINKEN OUGI: HOKUTO GOUSHOU HA

(North Star Divine Fist Secret Technique: North Star Iron Palm Wave)

Goram gets hit, and the energy from Raoh's attack blows a hole through the ceiling. Goram then falls down, defeated.

Soga asks the others what they're going to do, as their objective was to take over the castle, not kill everyone. He asks them if they accept Raoh as their king, and Raoh says that any who object may challenge him -he'll give them an instant death. Goram's officials all bow down before Raoh. Raoh tells them to listen -his name is now the Fist King.

Soga says the Fist King will use his fists to conquer the world. The heavens have granted Raoh the power in his fists to bring a new order to this ravaged world! Raoh says he will become the ruler of the world, as that is his destiny as the Fist King. Any who oppose or betray him will meet terror and death! But all who swear fealty to his fist shall receive whatever they desire! The guards all start chanting the Fist King's name.

This was the beginning of the rule of the Fist King, which would be told for generations.

Goram tells Raoh his plans of ruling are laughable, and whilst he may have taken this castle, the Holy Emperor will notice his ambition. Goram then dies, as Soga wonders who the Holy Emperor is. Raoh says it doesn't matter, as all those who impede his rule will be crushed by his fists!

Outside, a woman has been watching, and sees that Raoh has taken the castle. She says she'll stand witness to his fate, and then disappears.
