A Faraway Love...
-From Rage Quitter 87's Fist of the North Star site
Kenshiro returnes to Yuria's grave, where Mamiya is waiting for him.
Ryu wakes up in a cave, but sees that Kenshiro and Kokuoh are gone. There is a note, however, from Kenshiro:
"Ryu...ingrained in your body is a heart which has learnt the true meaning of sadness. I have nothing left to teach you. And in time, the blood of your father, Raoh, will lead you to the path you should take."
Ryu doesn't know what to do and heads outside the cave, but then Balga and Shingo appear. Balga tells Ryu that Kenshiro asked them to take care of him, and for him to come and live with them for now. Ryu thinks and understands why Kenshiro has gone. He thinks about how he will grow up, and how he will one day surpass his father.
Kenshiro returns to the place where Yuria died. He sees that someone has put flowers on her grave, and wonders who could have done it, when Mamiya appears. She tells him that Bat and Lin have been through this village recently, and that they were the ones who put the flowers on. Ken can sense something is wrong and Mamiya tells him that something happened between Bat and Lin. They were suppose to live together in happiness once Lin woke up, and things were fine at first. But Bat still thought about Kenshiro and Lin and decided to do something about it. When they got married, Bat didn't think her love for him was real, and that it was still Kenshiro she should really be with. Using a Hokuto Shinken technique*, Bat stuck Lin's head, sealing away her memories and making her forget about what had happened recently. Mamiya tells Ken that Bat has gone on a trip with Lin, to try and get her to remember him. Mamiya asks Kenshiro to go and find them.
Bat has taken Lin to the village they used to live in a long time a go. The pair go to the cell which Kenshiro was put in where Lin first met him, but when Lin sees it, it does not trigger anything in her mind, much to Bat's disappointment.
*Yes, Bat really does use a Hokuto Shinken technique...I guess he learnt it via watching Kenshiro? Maybe?
