At the End of Love

Baran, the Emperor of Light, appears.

A woman is running through Blanca, saying that her child is ill. The people tell her not to worry and take her to a large building, where Lord Baran, the "Emperor of Light" is. As the crowd move inside, so do Kenshiro, Ryu and Satora.



Baran takes the child, and holds him above his head, towards the heavens. He tells the people to pray to him and then asks the great light of the heavens to give the child their strength. As he is doing this, nobody notices Baran hit a pressure point on the back of the child's head...apart from Kenshiro, he realises what Baran has just done immediately -it was a pressure point of Hokuto Shinken Baran just hit! Most of the people see this as another of Baran's miracles though, and thank him. But one villager says it was a trick and that Baran is a fraud. Baran tells the man to believe in him and that he should not pray to God -he should pray to Baran. The man still thinks Baran is a fraud and storms off, only to explode seconds later -as Baran had secretly hit a pressure point on him to do so. The people see this as a sign of the non-believers being punished, whilst Kenshiro tells Ryu and Satora that Baran seems to know Hokuto Shinken.



Later on Baran stops the love of his life, Luseli, from trying to escape from his castle. Whilst he loves her, she cannot stand him, even stabbing him with a dagger. Baran does not understand why she can't feel the love he has for her.
