Love on the Battlefield!
Will this era tear Love Apart!!
Some men arrive back at the base of the resistance. Inside, Shu leads Kenshiro, Lin and Bat further into the base. A bunch of kids run out to greet Shu. Shu says they're the reason why he fights.
Bat sees that the base has electricity, and Shu says everyone worked hard in building this hideout. Bat says that means they don't just fight all the time. Shu tells him they must keep up their civilization. He wants to defeat Souther, but also give the children a world with a future where the sun shines. He then says they must be tired, so he says they can have a small meal and then get some rest. Bat is excited at the idea of getting some food...
...but not so thrilled when he sees the size of his portion. Shu apologizes, but says they have to scrape the bottom of the barrel for food. Someone then gives Bat some more food.
The guy's name is Jay, and he and his patrol say they've got plenty of food still. Jay says that he's planning on stopping at Suwannee village on the way back. As Jay leaves, the rest of his patrol leave their food on the table, and say to divide it among the kids. Bat is about to take a piece, but Lin stops him -she says it's for the other kids.
Kenshiro thinks Jay's group are good men. Shu says that if it wasn't for all the fighting, they'd be engineers, building a new world. He reveals Jay has said that he won't die until he rescues his fiancee's younger brother from Souther. The other guys also all have younger siblings who were abducted by Souther.
Elsewhere, a new recruit has taken a couple of kids to Galzus, a solider in Souther's army. He thinks the guy looks a bit weak, but decides to allow him to join the Holy Emperor's forces. Since he brought them two kids, he'll only give him the rank of private. But the new recruit has a tip, and whispers to Galzus that he knows the location of the resistance's base. The security there is tight, but Galzus thinks of how many kids will be there. He tells the new recruit to show him the way, and tells his men they're moving out.
The two kids start crying, so one of Galzus' men tells them to stop -they're working for the Holy Emperor now. He's about to whip them, but before he can, he gets shot to death with some arrows. More arrows are fired, which kill several of the other soldiers. Jay's patrol have found them, and start their attack.
Galzus and a few other men escape in their cars, so most of Jay's patrol go after them. One guy stays behind to take care of the kids, whilst the rest start firing at Galzus and his men.
One of the drivers gets hit, causing him to crash into another car and cause a pile-up. Only Galzus and the new recruit are left, but Jay is still on them. He takes aim...
...and fires a couple of rockets from his bike, which strike the back of Galzus' car and destroy it. Galzus and the new recruit survive, but they beg to be spared.
Galzus says that Souther has his little sister, so he had no choice. He pleads with them to spare him, as he can't die now. Jay asks him if his sister was really captured, and Galzus says it's true.
Jay hesitates on what to do, so Galzus seizes his chance to attack. He stabs Jay, and then quickly takes out the rest of his patrol.
Galzus calls them all fools, as he was born an only child -he has no sister! He then goes to the new recruit, and asks if what he said about that village is true. The new recruit says the place is called Suwannee village. Galzus says that as his men are dead, he'll need to go back to Souther with some kids, or he'll look like an idiot. He says they'll meet up with the rest of his men and head out to that village. As they leave, a barely alive Jay has heard everything.
Nearby, Kenshiro is been driven to where Souther's territory is, as Shu had asked the driver to show Kenshiro where it is. They then notice some smoke in the distance, where they find Jay. Jay tells Kenshiro that Souther's forces are heading towards Suwannee village, and asks him to hurry.
He passes Kenshiro something, and tells him to give it to Ami. Kenshiro asks what it is, and Jay says it's filaments, made of bamboo. He tells him to tell Ami that they'll get her brother back. But seconds after he says this, he passes away. Kenshiro asks who Ami is, and is told that she is Jay's fiancee. Jay had planned to marry Ami once Ami's brother had been saved from Souther.
Suwannee village is populated by women, children and the elderly, as all the men are part of Shu's resistance. Kenshiro asks for where Suwannee village is located. At the village, Ami is cleaning some light bulbs.
A kid runs up to the windmill Ami is in, and says she knew she'd be here. As they go out, Ami says that she has to be sure that the windmill doesn't stop whilst Jay's out. When Jay gets back, she says that they can light up the lamps with wind power.
They then hear something in the lake, and watch as several men emerge out of it. Galzus and his forces have arrived, and quickly start their attack.
Many villagers are slaughtered, and and children are captured. Galzus says to gather all the kids, and not let a single one of them escape. One of his men says that as there were only old people here, this job was easy. As there's lots of water here, he thinks they should stay.
Galzus tells him he's an idiot -as this place is a hidden city for the resistance, they'd better get out of here before they return. The new recruit has taken lots of food, and says he's glad to be in the Holy Emperor's forces. One soldier corners an old man, and is about to kill him...
...but then gets punched in the face. Kenshiro has arrived, and tells them to stop picking on the weak. The new recruit wonders who this guy thinks he is, and orders the others to get him.
The men try to attack, but Kenshiro takes them all out quickly. Three of them are left standing, and decide to run.
Kenshiro checks on the old man, but he tells him that the women and children were taken. He asks Kenshiro to save them. The new recruit tries to run away, but Kenshiro throws a spear at him, which goes through his jacket and stops him from getting away. Kenshiro asks him to show the way.
Galzus thinks there are enough kids here to please the Holy Emperor. Ami asks him to wait, and then asks that if they take all the children, they must take her as well. Galzus says she's pretty, and he wish he could take her, but only kids work for the Holy Emperor.
Whilst cute women like her get to work for him -that's how it goes. Three men then run up to him, and say they can't deal with this ridiculously strong guy. Galzus wonders what they're talking about, but then watches as their heads explode.
Galzus knows that was the North Star divine fist, and one of his men suggests they leave. Galzus says not to panic, as he can deal with this. Meanwhile, the new recruit leads Kenshiro through the village. Kenshiro suddenly stops, as he can hear a child crying. He and the new recruit walk towards the lake.
There, they see Galzus, who is on a raft with Ami and one of the kids. Galzus asks Kenshiro if he cares that this woman will die. The new recruit is overjoyed, and runs down the hill. Kenshiro tells him to watch out.
The new recruit ignores him and runs into the lake, but as soon as he does, he gets pierced by two spears. He falls down and dies, but Galzus calls him a fool for ruining his trap. Kenshiro knows there are men in the water, but he enters the lake anyway.
The guys with spears try to attack, but Kenshiro grabs their weapons, and throws them out. He then does a series of rapid kicks on them, which causes them to explode. After this, Kenshiro dives down under the water.
Galzus thinks he's an idiot, as he won't be able to use the North Star divine fist when he's underwater. Kenshiro swims towards some of Galzus' men, and does a couple of punches. His punches create a whirlpool effect, which knock the men out of the way.
More men approach Kenshiro. Seconds later, Galzus sees his men come up, and he thinks they must have got Kenshiro. But then he realizes something is wrong, and suddenly each of his men's heads explodes.
Kenshiro then pulls Galzus into the water. He gets onto the raft and checks on Ami and the child, but Galzus then climbs back onto the raft.
Galzus tells Kenshiro he won't be able to protect them and fight, so he'll kill them all. Kenshiro asks him if he was the one who killed all of the young resistance members, and Galzus says he did. Kenshiro says he'll make him pay for that, and rips his shirt and jacket off. He then starts striking Galzus many times.
His last punch sends Galzus flying off the raft, and back onto dry land. As Galzus pulls himself up, Kenshiro has already gotten next to him. But Galzus asks for help -he has a little sister, but Souther took her. He had no choice but to do this.
He continues to beg, so Kenshiro turns around and starts to walk away. Galzus immediately goes to stab him, but Kenshiro tells him that he's already dead. One side of Galzus' ribs explode.
As he falls, he wonders why this happened, but Kenshiro tells him he has the word "liar" written all over his face. He tells him to go and see for himself, so Galzus pulls himself to the lake so he can see his own reflection. As he does this, his head bulges up and explodes, followed with the rest of his body.
His remaining men run away. Later on, Kenshiro tells Ami about what happened to Jay. Ami wonders what she should do now.
Kenshiro passes her the filaments, and says that Jay asked him to give these to her. He says that Jay was sorry that he couldn't rescue her brother. Ami opens up the filaments, and uses them in one of the light bulbs.
Kenshiro tells her that Jay fought bravely until the end, for the sake of them, his loved ones. Ami says she'll never let this light go out, and it was the light that Jay gave his life for. Kenshiro heads outside, and listens to the sound of the windmill turning. He says that the sound brings back memories.
