In the Land of Asura, Kenshiro collapsed before the first supreme leader, having faced Kaioh's evil fighting spiritual energy. Shachi, who was awakened by his father's soul, rescued Kenshiro. His evasive journey has started.

Hyoh: Let me ask you one thing: what does that man in the coffin mean to you?

Shachi: Everything! Even if my body gets torn apart, he is everything I must protect!

Hyoh: Everything? For any man to go that far, he must be no ordinary corpse. Take good care of him!

Shachi: Yes.

A man who understands another man's heart. Shachi's greatest crisis seemed to have passed. However, Demon Kaioh is still alive! Wake up, Ken! Stand up, Kenshiro!

Shachi tells Kenshiro that they're almost there, as beyond this hill is a place where he used to train. He pulls down his hood, revealing that he's wearing his father's eyepatch.

Shachi's old training ground is next to a waterfall. He enters the small home near it, and tells the guy inside, Coyote, that it has been a while. He tells him to take care of Ken, and then collapses.

Later on, Coyote asks who this man is. Shachi says it's Kenshiro, a man of the North Star clan, and the successor to the North Star divine fist. Coyote asks if he's dead, and Shachi explains that whilst his heart is stopped, his body is still warm. He'd heard from Jukei that there's a secret art of the North Star divine fist that restricts the activity in the body, to restore its energy. Kenshiro may look like a corpse now, but he believes he is still alive.

Shachi says he might have to stay here a while, but Coyote tells him to stay as long as he wishes. He then asks him if he had to take his own eye to save Kenshiro. Shachi says he did, but then says that this eyepatch looks good on him... it's the one his father used to wear. Shachi thinks he has no regrets in what he did, and hopes his father would agree with him.

Elsewhere, an Asura brings a message to Lord Cain. It's a message from Kaioh, who wants Kenshiro and Shachi dead.

The message states that whoever defeats these men will be given the position of the third supreme leader. Cain stands up and says that he's been considered as equal in strength to the supreme leaders, he's just never had the chance to prove it. But now, he'll rise to the top, and prove his strength. He burns up the message, and says he'll defeat Kenshiro and Shachi.

Shachi tells Coyote to keep an eye on Kenshiro, and is about to leave. Coyote tells him his injuries still haven't healed, but Shachi says that his own wounds don't compare to Kenshiro's. Coyote says he understands, and tells him to be careful. Shachi says to leave it to him, he'll bring back something to eat.

Elsewhere, Cain's forces enter a town, and start asking the villagers about Kenshiro and Shachi. They eventually find out that a suspicious man was seen dragging a coffin, and was seen heading to the mountains.

Elsewhere, Lin thinks about Ken, and hopes he is safe. Coyote thinks Kenshiro is a strange man, as Shachi, who had lost himself in ambitions, is so protective of him. He thinks that perhaps Kenshiro is the savior of this land. Suddenly, the door gets kicked in, as some Asuras enter.

The Asuras want Coyote to hand Kenshiro over, as if he does, they'll spare his life. Coyote refuses, and says this man isn't Kenshiro. He gets punched in the face, as one of the Asuras tells him to get out of the way. He says he can't hand Kenshiro over, no matter what. One of the Asuras pulls out a sword, and strikes him with it.

Coyote falls on Kenshiro, and then falls down. The Asuras look at Kenshiro, and think this is a waste of time -is this guy really Kenshiro? He looks like he's already dead, and they think that there's no reason for Lord Cain to dirty his hands with this. They decide to take Kenshiro's head themselves, but they then see something -Kenshiro's heart is beating.

They wonder what's going on, and decide to kill him now. But before they can, Kenshiro suddenly rises, and looks at them.

Outside, the other Asuras get down, as the house explodes. Shachi comes back and wonders if Ken is alright, but as the smoke clears, he sees Kenshiro is standing.

He calls out Kenshiro's name, and Cain hears him. The Asuras get up, and decide to attack Kenshiro together. As they get close to him, Kenshiro fires up his fighting spiritual energy.

The Asuras get ripped apart without Kenshiro having to physically touch them. Only Cain is able to protect himself, using his own aura. Shachi can't believe it, as Kenshiro has basically been dead this whole time.

Cain sees that regular Asuras don't stand a chance. He goes into a stance, and then unleashes a projectile beam. Kenshiro uses his fighting spiritual energy to block it.

However, Cain's attack causes a large explosion. Cain thinks he's blown Kenshiro away, but once the smoke clears, Kenshiro is still standing.

Cain can't believe his greatest strike didn't work, as he thought his power was meant to be that of a supreme leader's. He picks up a sword and charges, leaping high up into the air. Kenshiro screams out, causing the waterfall to reverse...

...and Cain gets ripped apart. As the water rains back down, Shachi asks Ken if he's revived.

Kenshiro looks over at Coyote, so Shachi helps Coyote out of some rubble. Coyote says he's alright, so Shachi asks Ken how his wounds are.

Kenshiro tells him that his wounds have been healed thanks to him, his father and Coyote. Shachi says he wishes his father would have heard his words. Kenshiro tells Shachi he now owes him, and asks what he wishes for. Shachi says he only has one wish: Kaioh's life. There's nothing else. Kenshiro says he understands, and tells Shachi he'll get to witness his battle.

At his castle, Kaioh is informed that Kenshiro has been revived, and Cain's army was annihilated. Kaioh gets angry, and says the North Star clan is fearsome. He is threatened by the unlimited possibilities of the North Star clan, and must destroy it at any cost. He asks the Asura if Lin is still with Sayaka.

The Asura explains that she is, and Sayaka has said she won't hand over Lin. He also reports that Hyoh is also on the way here, and believes that once he arrives, Sayaka will be in a better mood. Kaioh gets more annoyed on hearing Hyoh's name, as he's another man of the North Star clan. He starts to destroy the room he's in.

Elsewhere, Sayaka asks Lin if she crossed that ocean. Lin says she did, so Sayaka explains that she was raised here, so she's never crossed it. Once this land is at peace, she'd like to cross it together with Hyoh. Lin says for that to happen, Kaioh must be stopped. Sayaka tells her that her brother is a harsh man, but he's always been good to her. Lin says Ken was defeated by Kaioh, but she knows Ken will return, and will defeat Kaioh. Sayaka wonders what to do, as whilst she wants to help her brother, she doesn't want to just hand Lin over to him. She then thinks that Hyoh will be here soon, so they could try talking to him. She's sure Hyoh can settle everything with Kaioh.

However, they then hear something, and turn around to see that Kaioh is here. Kaioh walks forward, and as he does, things near him get blown apart. Sayaka tells him to stop, and says he's never been like this before.

She tells him that the North Star lapis lazuli fist has changed him, and made him fall into the dark world. She pleads with him to turn back to who he used to be. Kaioh says nothing, but places a hand on her shoulder. He then strikes a pressure point on her chest.

Kaioh says he has struck her mukanha pressure point, which should make her feel no pain. Sayaka asks him why he's doing this. He tells her it's all for him. Sayaka says she's his only sister, why would he do this to her? Kaioh says it's natural for a sister to die for her brother. He tells her he doesn't need forgiveness, and feels no appreciation. Every living thing in this world only exists for him. To create a new century, sacrifices are needed!

Lin screams for him to stop and leaps onto his arm, but he pushes her away. Kaioh tells his sister to die, for the North Star lapis lazuli fist, and for her brother. He strikes Sayaka again, and as she falls back, she thinks about Hyoh. She dies, but Kaioh catches her before she hits the ground. However, he starts to laugh.
