Kenshiro was completely helpless against the evil fighting spiritual energy of Demon Kaioh, as was Shachi. But then who appeared was Shachi's father, Akashachi, along with his band of pirates.

Shachi: Father!

Kaioh seemed to have fallen for Akashachi's tactics! But...

Shachi: FATHER!

He sacrificed his life to save his son Shachi, and Kenshiro. Akashachi, a man of the sea! But the battle has only just begun! Where did Kaioh go after vanishing into the water? And what about Kenshiro?

Kaioh's Declaration of Victory!
The Ghost of the North Star Attacks!!

The pirates move Kenshiro onto a mat. One of them checks for a heartbeat, but he can't find one. He says Kenshiro is dead, but Shachi refuses to believe it. He says that Kenshiro's body is still warm.

Shachi is certain that Kenshiro will revive. The next morning, the pirates decide to give Akashachi a burial at sea. They place his body into a small boat, and one of them tells Shachi that this is the best sendoff they can give.

Shachi looks out to the sea, and hopes his father is looking -the ocean he will return to is so quiet now. He recalls what his father's last words were to him, and he says it's not right for the son of Akashachi to cry. The pirates push the boat down the track, and it enters the sea.

As it heads out, the cannons on Akashachi's ship start firing. As Shachi watches, he says this is for the best.

Shachi tells the pirates that now it's time for them to part ways, as they should all go back out to sea. One of them asks him if he wants to join up with them -he could be their new captain! They think he's a great guy, and it's pretty fun raising hell out on the open sea. Shachi declines, as he swore to his father that he'd protect that man, and fight alongside him.

The pirates turn around and look at Kenshiro. Shachi says that protecting Kenshiro is his duty. One of the pirates says that Kaioh is dead, so why worry? Shachi says things are only getting started, and he and Kenshiro will change this land. He wants to make a land where people can live without having to shed anyone's blood. It's what he swore in his heart he'd do for Leia. He tells her that she'll see -he'll make this a land filled with love, the love she's always spoken of.

One of the pirates say that they understand, and bids him farewell. As they shake hands, they see something suddenly emerge from the water nearby.

Kaioh bursts out, much to the shock of everyone. The pirates can't believe that he's survived that acid shower, and think he must be immortal. One of them tells Shachi to get out of here, and passes over Kenshiro. He tells him that if he and Kenshiro get killed, it'll be all over for this land.

Shachi has his doubts, but the pirates insist he get out of here. One of them says that if they don't avenge their captain, they won't be able to call themselves pirates anyway. He tells Shachi that it's just like his father said -he has a good spirit, and he would have made a great pirate! Shachi tells Leia to run, and they head away from the beach.

Kaioh tells the pirates there is no going back for those who defy a Demon. He tells them to look, and hits Akashachi's ship with an energy blast, destroying it.

The pirates charge, but they can't even get close to Kaioh. They start getting slaughtered.

Shachi watches what is happening, and then see the ripped turban from the pirate he was just speaking to land in front of him. He tells Leia to run, and not look back.

Kaioh says he'll slaughter everyone, nobody will be left alive. Shachi and Leia arrive at a waterway. Shachi sees some wood nearby, and creates a makeshift raft from it.

He tells Leia to climb on, but she doesn't. She tells him to go on, and not worry about her. She thinks that he must look after Kenshiro, and if she came with him, she'd just drag him down. She says she can protect herself if she's alone, and then throws him over her pendant.

She tells him that this isn't their goodbye for good, and says he should think of that pendant as her. Until that day, she tells him not to die. She stops running and starts waving, as Shachi rides down the river.

Shachi looks at the pendant, and thinks about his father, the pirates, and Leia. He continues to ride down the river.

But up ahead, part of the wall explodes, and Kaioh bursts out!

Shachi stops and takes Kenshiro with him, but Kaioh is soon upon them. Kaioh tells Shachi he will die. He hits Shachi with an energy blast.

As Shachi gets back up, he tells Kaioh he won't let him kill Kenshiro. Kaioh calls him a fool, and says that to kill someone like him, just his bare fist will do. He punches Shachi.

He then punches him several more times, but Shachi remains standing. Shachi says he won't let him kill Kenshiro, even if it costs him his own life. Kaioh says he has an admirable spirit, and in respect to his courage, he'll use his evil fighting spiritual energy to send both him and Kenshiro to hell. He goes to strike Shachi...

...but then his evil fighting spiritual energy vanishes. Kaioh can't understand what's going on, his armor seems to be shrinking. But he then sees something.

Kenshiro has risen, but there is also some kind of spirit behind him. Shachi turns around and also sees it, and wonders what it is.

Kaioh thinks that he can't breathe, and with nowhere to be released, his evil fighting spiritual energy is entering his own body. He strikes his own armor, causing it to crack. He then fires out another energy blast.

But somehow, it gets deflected, and hits the ceiling above Kaioh. Kaioh can't understand what's causing this, and thinks the illusion behind Kenshiro may be something his own evil fighting spiritual energy has created. He falls to his knees.

Shachi doesn't understand what's causing Kaioh to fall like this. He wonders if this is the 2,000 year old secret of the North Star, but then he sees the spirit vanish, and Kenshiro falls. He catches him, and says this is their chance. He takes Kenshiro past the fallen Kaioh, who is still screaming in agony.

They get back onto the raft, and head back out. Shachi thinks that he'd heard the essence of the North Star divine fist is based on absolute anger and sorrow. It seems that essence somehow frightened Kaioh's evil fighting spiritual energy... even with his heart stopped, Kenshiro is a man who can fight with his soul! Now he knows for certain that he's been staying in this land to meet this man.

Kaioh thinks that the North Star divine fist holds limitless possibilities, and thinks this must be the essence of the North Star clan. He thinks Kenshiro is truly fearsome, but that's all the more reason that the North Star clan must not survive.

Elsewhere, Shachi disguises himself as a rag, and drags Kenshiro, who has been put inside a coffin. Shachi knows that beyond this mountain is a town, if they can reach that town, they can get away. Two Asuras on bikes then pull up, and ask him what he's dragging. Shachi says it's a dead man. He's on his way to bury him at a mountain grave.

Shachi asks them if they would like to look, and one of the Asuras nods. Shachi opens up the coffin, revealing Kenshiro. The Asuras freak out and say that's enough, he can get going.

As the Asuras leave, Shachi thinks that he and Kenshiro's long journey has now begun. He resumes dragging the coffin towards the town.
