On a windy day at the North Star Army base, a scout runs back to report his findings: he knows where Lin has gone! Taiga has taken her a place known as the "Sea of Death", which they have crossed. Rihaku explains that that sea is meant to be the only sea left in the world now and on the other side of it is a terrible place...the land of Shura.

Rihaku says that Shura is a land that is devoted just to fighting -the men there battle each other constantly and the death rate is high, less than 1% of males survive. By the age of 15, a warrior will have gone through 100 battles. Intruders will be killed instantly if they try to go there, and nobody can leave. The Hokuto, Nanto and Gento styles all originated from this land. Rihaku believes Taiga has gone there to lure Kenshiro, as he knows he will want to find Lin. Myuu then comes in and says that Falco is already crossing the sea of death! She saw him off not long a go.

Falco and Myuu found some bikes on a beach, and believed Taiga must have been here. Falco told Myuu that he had to go to Shura, even if the place was hell itself. He also told her he may never return, but she said she would wait for him here no matter how long it took. Falco wanted to go not only to rescue Lin, but he must also stop the renegade Gento Kouken master, Taiga. Falco headed towards a small boat and set sail.

Later on, even in this age pirates are still around and on one large ship we see a group of them having a good time, having stolen lots of stuff from various boats. They then see another boat heading right towards them and decide to stop it.

They hit the smaller boat with lots of arrows and believe to have killed the one guy on it. But before they get a chance to go on their plundering business, someone else is now on their ship: Kenshiro!

After hurricane kicking nearly everyone onboard Ken takes a seat in the Captain's chair and tells the helmsman that as they wrecked his boat, he'll have to take over this one for now. The helmsman is to scared to fight Kenshiro until he tells him that they need to go to Shura.

When he hears that he tries to attack Kenshiro but gets kicked in the face, at which point he decides to shut up and go where Kenshiro wants to go. Ken hears a door open behind him and someone says that he is in his seat. Turning round, Ken sees the Captain of the ship: Akashachi.

Akashachi isn't happy when he hears Kenshiro intends to take them to Shura and attacks him, but his various weapons all fail and he ends up being thrown through a door. When the other pirates see that their leader has been defeated...

...they really don't want to go to Shura as they believe they will all die, so they jump ship. Akashachi recovers but doesn't hold a grudge. He even tells Kenshiro that he will take him there. He even saw someone else heading towards Shura earlier today. Kenshiro knows who is talking about. Meanwhile, Falco arrives on Shura and finds...

...what remains of Taiga's troops. All of them are dead. He then finds a barely alive Taiga slumped over a rock with dozens of arrows in him. Taiga tells Falco that this place doesn't allow any visitors and that Lin is still alive, but she has been taken away to become a "Shura bride". Before he dies, he tells Falco that he hopes both Hokuto and Gento die here.

As Falco begins to head into the mainland, another man appears out of nowhere and attacks him with a knife! Falco stops him at the last moment, but is surprised -how did this man get so close to him without him realising it? Falco asks him where Lin is. The man simply says that Falco's level of skill isn't enough to get her back. The men here, known as Shura (Warrior), are far beyond him. He then dies, but Falco ignores his words and continues on.

Back on the ship, Akashachi is watching the sun set whilst crying. Kenshiro sees him and Akashachi says that watching the sun set reminds him of "them". Kenshiro doesn't understand so Akashachi goes down with him into the ship. He shows Kenshiro a room full of lit candles, each one of them representing a friend who died on that terrible day...

One day, Akashachi took 100 men with him to invade a land, but they didn't get very far when a young fighter challenged them. This fighter promptly ripped the group apart, killing all 100 men and wounding Akashachi -he lost one of his eyes and one of his arms on that day.

When the fighter removed his mask, Akashachi was amazed to see that the fighter looked no older than 15!

As Akashachi got back onto his ship, he found out that the Shura had also taken his son. He now believes that his son is dead. He and Ken go back up and in the distance they see the land of Shura. Akashachi warns that the land is covered in blood and it is like hell itself. The warriors there are demons.

Ken tells Akashachi that he will look for his son. He's guessed the reason Akashachi took him here so quickly was to look for him. Soon Kenshiro sets off in a smaller boat towards the land. Akashachi decides to wait, but he thinks that even Kenshiro won't be able to change Shura. A little later on, Ken sets foot on Shura.

It doesn't take long for two fighters to find him and they charge, brandishing knives. However they never get a chance to get close to Ken as he unleashes two projectiles which defeat both fighters instantly.

Ken asks where Lin is, but the only one left alive tells him he will die, his fate is the same as that other man's. Kenshiro wonders what he means by that, but drops his body in the water and then continues to walk on.

As he gets onto dry land, Kenshiro noticed that there is someone up ahead. As he gets closer, he realises that it is Falco! He has been heavily injured.

He collapses and tells Kenshiro that the land is a lot more violent that he thought it would be. Ken sees the wound on his chest and realises that Falco came here even though he was still injured from their battle outside the Imperial capital. Falco says that it didn't matter to him as he would go on fighting no matter what, as the successor to Gento Kouken.

Another man then appears in the distance, holding Falco's fake leg. He throws it to the floor.

"Are you the one who did this to Falco?"

"Yes."
