Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds was released in February 2011. As with Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, you can select three characters to make a team with and battle it out against other teams. Air combos, assist attacks and other features from previous titles return, along with new mechanics such as the X factor mode. The game consists of many characters who are completely new to the series, such as Dante, Deadpool, Phoenix and C. Viper.
And for once a Final Fight character gets a shot in the Marvel Vs. Capcom series: Mike Haggar! Haggar has got all of his classic moves such as his lariat and pile-driver, along with many new techniques. There is even a Final Fight themed stage in the game, which is set in Metro City and has some of the Mad Gear gang making cameos in it. Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 is available on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
Fan were expecting more characters and costumes via DLC, but not much extra content was released. Controversially, an update version of the game was later released in the same year: Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. If you haven't purchased this already, then go for the Ultimate version.
