With the introductions over, Bat and Lin see that yet another person seems to want to kill Kenshiro. But Lin thinks that there is something different about him. Hyui sends forward a couple of projectiles...

...but Ken just stands there and lets them cut his face. If Ken doesn't want to fight then that's just fine, Hyuui tells him that he will die now. Leaping forwarded, Hyuui uses his Gosha Fuuretsu Ken but as he is about to strike, Kenshiro appears to leap straight through him!

As Hyui recovers, part of his right arm explodes. The fight is over, and Hyui says he can see how Kenshiro really is the true successor to Hokuto Shinken. Zion heads over and patches up the wound, whilst Hyui says he must go now. He mentions that one day one of the Five Chariot Stars will come and help Kenshiro. But it won't be him as he and the rest of the Wind army leave the area on their bikes. As Ken watches them depart, he wonders about the Five Chariot Stars. Who are they?

Meanwhile, at a place known as the Nanto Capital, the mysterious last General stands looking out over his city. Inside, a soldier reports to Rihaku (the man) and Tou (Rihaku's daughter) on what Ken-Oh is up to. So far there has been no new word from Hyui and his forces, as Rihaku hopes that he will carry out his mission the best he can. Hyui is doing just that: he and his army are out attacking various villages that belong to Ken-Oh.

Buildings burn and many of Ken-Oh's troops lay dead. A few try to escape, but Hyui finds them before they can get away and kills them all.

Later on, one of Ken-Oh's troops returns to the main fortress, heavily wounded. He has just enough strength to tell his master that the rest of his squad was wiped out by this Wind Army. As he dies, Raoh decides he must crush this resistance now. Elsewhere, Hyui and his men have set up camp as Zion asks when they will all fight Ken-Oh. With the way they've been killing many of his men, Hyui believes that they will draw him out soon.

Ken and co are still stuck at the training camp -Bat's car has broken down due to a lot of sand getting in the engine, and it looks like it will take him a while to fix it. Ken suggests they start walking when Lin sees something not that far away. The something is a woman running with her sick child, but two thugs on bikes track her down. She has run away from her village, but the village belongs to Ken-Oh. The punks tell her that nobody can simply leave the village, and she and her child must die as punishment. Even with her reasoning of her child being ill and she was trying to get to a town with medical supplies fall on deaf ears.

Before one of the punks can do anything, something suddenly hits him and gives him a nosebleed. Kenshiro has arrived just in time and the punks wonder who he is and what he wants. One of them tells him to get lost, so he takes their iron club and bends it into a new shape...

...then uses it to throw the first punk head first into the sand. When he gets out he sees that his friend has just rolled up on his bike...then his head explodes. Realising that this could be that North Star thing he's heard of, he runs away looking like an idiot.

A little later Kenshiro heals the fever the baby had by hitting pressure points on his head. The child's mother thanks him and says that he is the savior at the end of the century. Ken shakes his head and says that such a title does not belong to him. He's simply on a journey for Hokuto Shinken, and that it will soon come to an end.

Meanwhile Hyui's brigade is up to it's usual tricks, attacking yet another batch of Ken-Oh's troops. Hyui finds the leader of the place, who has a sword ready, but is hesitant to attack. Hyui says he won't escape, and as the man charges, Hyui waves his hands through the air and releases a projectile attack.

Seconds later, the leader gets sliced up, and falls apart. Zion then arrives to tell Hyui that Ken-Oh has been spotted. In a desert nearby, Raoh and many of his troops are marching forward.

Raoh stops as he sees Hyui waiting in front of him. Calling the leader foolish for standing against him, he demands to know his name. Hyui introduces himself and says that he is one of the Goshasei (Five Chariot Stars). Ken-Oh doesn't know what he's talking about until Hyuui tells him that he is one of the five stars, who must protect their leader no matter what -the last General of Nanto! The fate of the heavens will not fall into the hands of Hokuto -it is Nanto's to claim!

Ken-Oh just realises that this last General has begun to make his move. Hyui says Ken-Oh cannot be allowed to interfere with his leader's destiny and leaps towards him. But his attacks cannot even seem to scratch Raoh.

"Ken-Oh! Your life is mine!"

"Your powerless fists cannot hurt me at all!"

Raoh draws back his fist and the punches straight into Hyui, smashing him to the ground.

With his last breath, Hyui tells Ken-Oh that whilst he is much stronger than he imagined, the rest of the Five Chariot stars will defeat him. And Hyuui will be waiting for Ken-Oh in hell. He then dies as Ken-Oh stares at his lifeless body. One of Hyuui's troops prevents Zion from going out to Hyui's body, telling him he must go and report back to Rihaku now and inform him of Hyui's death and Ken-Oh's incredible power. As Zion does that, the rest of the Wind army will buy him time by attacking Ken-Oh.

Later on Rihaku has still not heard anything from Hyui, when a heavily wounded Zion walks in to tell them that Hyuui is dead and that Ken-Oh ended his life with a single punch. He then collapses as Tou finds that he has been shot in the back several times with arrows. As he dies, Rihaku realises that Ken-Oh's strength is much greater than any of them had predicted.
