Fist of the North Star (DVD)

I started watching one episode of this before work every day. I'm watching the Manga Entertainment version and for a change I used the English dub track -the character voices aren't too bad, but it's the music I'm not happy with. Apparently the original music wasn't good enough for Manga, so they had it changed completely, always for the worse. Sometimes they just didn't bother at all, with some fight scenes which had music in the Japanese version just being in silence. I'm up to the episode in the first chapter where Kenshiro has met Jennifer and they have to fight that insane Nanto cannonball guy. The first chapter always was the weakest one due to the unnecessary amounts of filler but I'm looking forward to the episode where Ken and Shin fight.

Building Empire & Returning to Jedi

The two fan made documentaries offer a fascinating look at how The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi were made. Star Wars fan jambe davdar has made something that is better than the official makings of LucasArts themselves have created, showing unused footage, audio differences, rare concept art and plot changes that were made to both movies. I honestly think that these are so good they should be included on a future DVD release. Star Wars Begins looks at the first movie but that has yet to be completed.

Day of the Dead (DVD)

I haven't watched this in a long time and seeing it again reminded me on how completely nuts it is. Basically, a bunch of scientists and a few soldiers are stuck in an underground base, not knowing if there is any non-zombie life in the outside world. The scientists are doing completely buts research, including training zombies to not eat people and instead do arguably worse things such as use guns. The soldiers are all totally unlikable, and I have to give credit to Joseph Pilato for his great performance as Captain Rhodes, some of his lines were delivered brilliantly. Dawn will always be by favourite zombie movie, but this one isn't bad either.

Let's Play Sonic 2 Special Edition

I was told that this was a video about a new Sonic 2 prototype, but it was something much, much greater than that. This is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time and all I can say is sit back and enjoy this. It takes a little while to get going but once Aquatic Ruin Zone starts it becomes really good. My favourite parts are Knuckles and Tails trying to create the perfect Amy clone, the dance off competition between Knuckles and Robotnik and just about everything that happens in Mystic Cave and Hilltop Zones. Docfuture, you are a genius.
