The excellent music for The Revenge of Shinobi was composed by Yuzo Koshiro. When the game was released, Yuzo had already created some well received soundtracks for games, such as Ys and Ys II. He would go on to create some of the greatest video game music of all time, including the scores for the Streets of Rage, ActRaiser and Shenmue series. Despite popular belief, Yuzo did not work on any of the other Genesis Shinobi games. His score for this game is great, the only track I really don't like is Labyrinth -it loops far too early for my liking, and is irritating to listen to when playing through the most frustrating part of the game already. I'm also not that keen on The Ninja Master, as I really wanted something more for a final boss theme, especially given how Terrible Beat is so good.
