Udon Comics started publishing a Street Fighter comic in 2003 and are still releasing comics based on the series now. The original series was simply called "Street Fighter" and follows Ryu as he comes to terms with the dark hadou. Meanwhile, Bison plots to take over the world whilst Guile, Chun-Li and others try and stop him. Street Fighter II and Street Fighter II Turbo followed, with the latter featuring a tournament story where every character from Super Street Fighter II Turbo makes an appearance.

The Udon comics are good and if you want to read them, try tracking down the Ultimate Editions. For a cheaper alternative, Udon have also released several collected volumes. Round One -Fight!, The New Challengers!, Fighter's Destiny, Kick it into Turbo! and Final Round are the names of these books. Udon haven't stopped with Street Fighter II though -more comics have been released, which have characters from Street Fighter III, IV and V in them.
