A PC version of Street Fighter II was released by U.S. Gold in 1993. The main plus point of this version are the graphics, which look great...in stills. The sprites are large and look a lot like the ones found in the arcade version.

But when you see this thing actually moving, you'll get to see the choppy animation and ludicrous gameplay, which is nothing like the arcade. Jumps are laughable in this version, as characters will rocket upwards, far too high, whenever they leap. From what I've read, there is only one or two attack buttons, meaning you have to now hold a direction and then press a button to do different punches and kicks. E.G. holding forward and pressing the button will do a different move from holding back and pressing a button. The collision detection is a mess and the move priorities are all wrong. Certain characters benefit greatly from the poor coding of this port, such as Dhalsim and his slide.

See my playthrough of this version here, or read about it over at Scary Crayon. And the really odd thing is that, despite this version sucking, this is probably the best version of Street Fighter II U.S. Gold ever made.
