Released in 1993, the Super Nintendo version is actually two games in one -the main game is Hyper Fighting, but there is also an option that lets you play with the moves and speed of Champion Edition.
If you've played the SNES version of The World Warrior you should know what to expect -the same cut backs have been made, so there is less animation, no danger music and other short comings. The poor music from the port of The World Warrior has unfortunately been left unchanged for this version, but it does at least have some extras to make up for it. There are now 3 bonus games instead of 2, and there were cheats to make the speed of the game much faster than the arcade version.
This version sold over 4 million copies -2 million less than the SNES version of The World Warrior, but it was still a massive amount. This version was also available on the Wii's virtual console, but it can no longer be downloaded. As of 2021 it is still available on the Wii U and New 3DS virtual consoles. More recently, this version was also available on the American and European versions of the SNES Classic Mini.
