The PlayStation 2 version of Hyper Fighting was released in 2005, as part of Capcom Classics Collection. The version on here isn't a new port, but is actually just the version which was used in Street Fighter Collection 2, which had been released for the PlayStation in 1998.

The Capcom Classics Collection version does have much faster (near none existent) load times at least. Plus you get a lot of other games with this collection, including Mercs and Final Fight.It also has some unlockable bonuses. By completing certain tasks, you can unlock artwork, tips and more.
