This version of the game was part of Street Fighter Collection, which also included versions of Super Street Fighter II and Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold . It was released in 1997 and was also available for the PlayStation. |
This version has everything you'd expect (except for a training mode) and the code to unlock Akuma has been made much easier -you can now simply highlight Ryu, press the L and R buttons together and Akuma will appear. The CPU difficulty has also been toned down, making the game much easier to play through compared to the original arcade game. |
In my opinion this is better than the PlayStation port, as the load times are much faster in this version. If you have a Saturn, get Street Fighter Collection... if you can afford it. Unfortunately the price for the USA and European versions of this collection is very high. The Japanese version is a lot cheaper. |
