Dhalsim

Dhalsim is a top tier character, his super combo is one of the most damaging moves in the game and he also has a new anti-air attack to set opponents on fire with. Some of his punches and kicks have been changed.

(Hold = Hold down any attack button for 2 seconds)

Old Dhalsim code: Down, Up, Up, Up


Special moves

YOGA FIRE
(QCF+P)

This fireball will burn the opponent and send them crashing to the ground.


YOGA FLAME
(HCF+P)

A large fireball blast which has a short range and lasts for a few seconds.


YOGA TELEPORT
(F, D, DF + all 3 punch or kick buttons/B, D, DB + all 3 punch or kick buttons)

Punch buttons will make Dhalsim appear in front of his opponent, kick buttons make him appear behind. The usual dragon punch motion also moves Dhalsim quite a distance, whilst the other motion moves him a short distance.


YOGA BLAST
(HCF+K)

This is like Dhalsim's yoga flame, only with this move he blasts upward so this is a great anti-air move.


SUPER COMBO: YOGA INFERNO
(HCF, HCF+P)

This super combo is a longer lasting yoga flame which does more hits and much more damage.


Throws

STRONG PUNCH

Known as the "Yoga Noogie", Dhalsim will punch his opponent's head repeatedly. Mash the buttons to do more hits.


FIERCE PUNCH

Dhalsim tosses his opponent.


Changes

STANDING SHORT KICK

This short kick has very poor range compared to how it was in the previous game.


FORWARD STANDING SHORT KICK

This was what Dhalsim's standing short kick was like in the previous game, you just have to now hold forward before pressing the button to do it.


CLOSE CROUCHING FORWARD KICK

Dhalsim now does a slide instead of a kick if you do a crouching strong kick when close to the opponent. However, you can make him do a kick instead by holding back on the joystick before pressing the forward kick button.


JUMPING JAB PUNCH

This has worse range than before.


JUMPING FORWARD/BACKWARD STRONG PUNCH

This new attack means you can hit opponents who are also in the air.


DRILL KICK

The drill kick Dhalsim can do (hold down and press roundhouse) has worse range than before, Dhalsim now aims at the ground rather than to the corner of the screen.
