Akuma

Akuma seeks out powerful warriors and fights them to the death. Having defeated and killed both his own master (Goutetsu) and his brother (Gouken), Akuma has become the strongest man in the world. And he is certainly powerful in this game, so much so that he is banned in most fighting game tournaments simply because of how much better he is compared to all other characters. See the secrets page for how to play as Akuma. In Japan, Akuma is known as Gouki.

The only way you will see the second color is if you fight Akuma with Akuma.


Special moves

GOU HADOUKEN
(QCF+P)

This powerful projectile will knock the opponent over when the motion is done with the fierce punch.


SHAKUNETSU GOU HADOUKEN
(HCF+P)

This fireball will set the opponent on fire if it hits them.


ZANKUU GOU HADOUKEN
(QCF+P whilst in a jump)

This diagonally moving fireball can be very effective and is a major reason for why Akuma gets banned from tournaments due to how good it is.


GOU SHORYUKEN
(F, D, DF+P)

This dragon punch can do multiple hits and is very powerful.


TATSU MAKI ZANKU KYAKU
(QCB+K, air also)

This move can juggle the opponent into the air, and usually as Akuma finishes this move you can do a dragon punch to land an extra hit or two.


ASHURA SENKUU
(F, D, DF + all 3 punch or kick buttons/B, D, DB + all 3 punch or kick buttons)

Akuma will teleport to either side of the screen. The forwards motion will have him warp forwards, backwards motion will make him go back. Using the punch buttons makes him travel further.

Jumping forward fierce punch > standing fierce punch > fierce gou hadouken


4 HIT COMBO

Standing fierce punch > jab gou shoryuken


5 HIT COMBO

Jumping forward roundhouse kick > standing fierce punch > forward tatsu maki zanku kyaku > jab gou shoryuken
