Vega

Vega has a new special move, but the biggest changes he has are for his normal punches and kicks -most of them have new animation and are completely different to what they were like in the previous game.

(Hold = Hold down any attack but ton for 2 seconds)

Special moves

CLAW ROLL
(B (charge) F+P)

Vega rolls across the ground a few times then stabs out with his talon.


CLAW DIVE
(D (charge) U+K, then P)

Vega will leap up and jump off the closest wall and then dive at the opponent. Press any punch button to get him to swipe out at the opponent.


IZUNA DROP
(D (charge) U+K, , direction + P)

Vega leaps up towards the nearest wall and then dives at the opponent. He'll then grab and slam them into the ground.

Note: Vega no longer jumps onto the cage in his own stage any more. He now jumps off either corner of the screen instead.


CLAW THRUST
(D (charge) U+P)

This new attack has Vega leaping off a wall and then jumping straight at the opponent as he tries to stab them with his talon.


BACKFLIP
(PPP or KKK)

Pressing all the punch buttons together has Vega do a full backflip which makes him totally invincible, but it will not hit the opponent. The kick version is a shorter flip, both of these flips are useful for avoiding attacks.


Throws

STRONG & FIERCE PUNCH

Vega backdrops the opponent.


AIR STRONG & FIERCE PUNCH

Vega has an air throw. He can catch jumping opponents and throw them to the ground.

New animation.


STRONG PUNCH

New animation, Vega swipes forward with this attack.


FIERCE PUNCH

New animation. Vega stabs forwards.


SHORT KICK

New animation, Vega knees the opponent.


FORWARD KICK

New animation.


ROUNDHOUSE KICK

New animation, Vega does a high kick.


JUMPING JAB AND STRONG PUNCHES

New animation. Vega strikes out and aims his talon down towards the opponent.


JUMPING FIERCE PUNCH

New animation, like the above move but angled differently.


JUMPING ROUNDHOUSE

Another new animation for this attack.


CLOSE FIERCE PUNCH

At close range, Vega has a different animation for this.


CLOSE SHORT KICK

Vega will knee the opponent differently than his usual short kick.


CLOSE FORWARD KICK

Vega has a new animation for this.


CLOSE ROUNDHOUSE KICK

The forward kick animation is used for this.


CROUCHING FIERCE PUNCH

Vega now stabs upwards for this move.
