Ryu and Ken can still do orange/red fireballs in this, is there a proper way of doing them now?
Capcom left the orange fireball easter egg from The World Warrior in this game, mainly because most people still believed there was a proper motion to do them. And people were still wasting money in vs. mode doing nothing other than picking Ryu and Ken and trying to find a way to do orange fireballs consistently, even though it was impossible, so that was good enough reason to leave it in.
Wasn't this game meant to be ported to the SEGA Genesis?
It was, but it was scrapped. In 2020, two different prototype versions of the scrapped Champion Edition were released by Hidden Palace. The prototypes are fully playable and have all the characters and moves. They even have the danger music when a fighter is low on health, which the released version doesn't have. The prototypes also have black bars around the life bars, and the endings are not fully complete, with some cutting out early. The endings are based on the SNES World Warrior port, such as Eliza's sprite.
The reason why this version was scrapped was because Capcom Japan were not happy with it, having outsourced the port to another developer. Capcom decided to start again from scratch, developing the port themselves this time. They ended up creating Special Champion Edition instead. The released game included versions of both Champion Edition and the newer Hyper Fighting, meaning SEGA owners got a better deal overall.
