Some of the bonus mode options have different names between versions. The Japanese version also uses the select button to exit a menu screen, whilst the start button does this in the American version. |

Some of Garuda's attacks cause the opponent to bleed in the Japanese version. The blood was removed from the American version and replaced with the standard hit explosions. |

Each character has a short ending in the Japanese version. None of these were translated for the American version, and instead were replaced with a generic "thank you for playing" message. |
NOTES
One of Sagat's super moves was changed between versions. In the Japanese version, the move is called the tiger genocide, and Sagat will shout he full name of the move. However in the American version, Sagat only says "tiger!" when using it, and in the moves list, the name for it was changed to "tiger cyclone". Thanks to David Rocha for this info.
