As ever, certain character names were changed. Also, there is a squirt of blood next to Zangief's head for this select screen picture in Japan, this was removed in the American version. |

In Japan, the alternate versions of Gouki and Ryu were not given special names, they just use their regular names. The American version has "Shin" Akuma and "Evil" Ryu instead. Also, the Z-ISM style in Japan was changed to A-ISM for America. |

The next stage screens have different layouts between versions, there is some text in the Japanese version that I believe states the name of the stage which was removed from the American version. |

In Rose's ending, you can see Vega's hand go through Rose and there is a flashing red background in Japan. The American version censored this so you can't see Bison's hand, and the background was changed to black. Surprisingly a bit of blood was still left in the American version, next to Bison's head. |

In most endings, when Vega dies, blobs of blood leave his destroyed head. These were removed from the American version, and in some cases, like Rose's ending, the background color was changed. |
