This game introduced isms. The Japanese version has Z-Ism, this was changed to A-Ism for the American version.

Zangief's portrait has a squirt of blood in the Japanese version which was removed from the American version.

Most of the endings feature Vega/Bison getting destroyed. In the Japanese version, Vega bleeds large blobs of blood. The bleeding doesn't happen in the American version. The background color used for the above shot is often different between versions.

In Rose's ending, there is a shot of Rose being stabbed by Vega. The American version censored this shot so you cannot see Bison's hand going through Rose's body. The background color was also changed to just solid black.
