Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 (PS3)

I was thinking of getting Ultimate MvC 3, but checking my stats on this revealed that I still had a lot of characters to beat the game with, and the trial mode remained relatively untouched. I've almost beaten the game with everyone, with 4 or so characters left to do, and I've done over 100 of the trial mode challenges, although many of the harder ones look out of my league. There was a sale on the PSN store this month so I picked up Shuma Gorath and Jill Valentine when they were on offer. I haven't used Jill yet, whilst Shuma seemed good, I liked his new laser hyper combo.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (PS3)

Me and a friend finished all the co-op special ops missions on the highest difficulty, getting all 69 stars. Kind of a warm up for the special ops mode in Modern Warfare 3, which we plan to play through early next year. Several of the later missions in this are tough, but there are some level exploits you can use to make things easier. Single player wise, I beat the game on veteran difficulty -of all the CoD games I've played, I'd say this one was the easiest to beat on that setting.

King of Fighters XIII (Xbox 360)

I haven't done much more single player wise in this, but I have played it online a lot and got the 300 matches achievement. My team still always has Takuma in it, then any of the following: Terry, Andy, Yuri, Robert, Ryo and occasionally Kyo. The online is still passable at best, I hope the patch they are making is going to change things.

Slightly more rage this month, from dbzdmx, x V I P BISO x and agelessimmortal. But good games to jazzybro8, GenericOtaku21, Dr Phoenix 187, OXSMOS and KenShinka.

Sonic CD (Xbox 360)

I beat the game with all the time stones and I think I only died once on my playthrough, in the last act of the last level (that bottomless pit). Unlike previous Sonic ports, this one has quite a bit of extra content. Beating the game unlocks Tails, the time attack mode now has leaderboards and both the soundtracks from the Japanese and American versions of the game are included. I've been playing through time attack mode a lot and so far have a total clear time of under 25 minutes for the main game and under 4 minutes for the special stages.

Sonic Generations (Xbox 360)

Just started. I'm up to the Speed Highway level, and have S-ranked most of the levels I've played up to this point (getting an S-rank in this game seems a lot easier than any other Sonic game I've played). Anyway, as for the game, it actually seems quite good! You can pick either classic Sonic, who has simpler controls and shorter stages, or modern Sonic, who has more moves like speed boosts and the ability to grind. For once, the camera doesn't totally suck, as in classic Sonic stages it is always a side on view, whilst in the modern Sonic stages it is either behind Sonic or to the side, and it works well either way (at least so far, anyway). For the first time in quite a while I can actually say I'm enjoying a new Sonic game.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (Xbox 360)

I completed the campaign on normal difficulty. The story ends in a largely satisfying manner, although yes, it sucks that Soap dies. But then it was great to finally be able to play as Price in the last level, and also finally being able to fight Makarov. The multi-player in this sucks though -they need to do a better job with the netcode. Nothing pisses me off more than shooting an enemy, only to then instantly die. Then you watch the killcam replay and it shows that you didn't shoot at all on the other guy's screen. This is just lag and it's been like this is the previous games, for the millions of dollars the series makes you'd think they could use some of the cash to improve the online. Occasionally I'll get into games that run fine, but it is a rarity. I'll be playing the special ops and survival modes next.
