Resident Evil 5 (Xbox 360)
This month saw the release of the Desperate Escape dlc, which is much more action orientated that Lost in Nightmares. You get to play as either Jill or Josh and have to do a lot of shooting to get to a helicopter pad. It was quite good and it was better value than last month's dlc as it's much larger. I completed it on every difficulty level. Professional difficulty was a real pain as they really shouldn't have had it so one hit kills you -the A.I. of your partner is too dumb to keep up so I had to play it online. I eventually beat it with some girl over Xbox Live. I also played some of the Mercenaries mode and I never realised that the original version of Mercenaries had online play, so that brought some new life into the game. I unlocked all the levels and several extra characters.
Call of Duty: World at War (Xbox 360)
I've played Nazi Zombies mode all this month. Let me get this off my chest: I think the way the online works in this game is stupid. If you happen to play online and the host leaves the game for whatever reason, the game ends. Why, why, WHY would you program something so idiotic? All they needed to do was have the host automatically change to another player, not just end the game! You can't even set up a lobby yourself so you are the host, which is just as dumb. And there has been a lot of problems with the game's severs losing connection for no reason, which isn't good. I've got some good games in, but it was really frustrating for a game to end for no good reason after playing in it for an hour.
Halo 2 (PC)
I picked up on an old save file I had which was on the Heroic difficulty setting and was on the level where Master Chief arrives on Earth. I played through it and got annoyed a lot, but it seemed to get easier the further I got. Near the end of the game, the aliens start fighting between each other so I found it easier and faster to just not bother shooting anything and just running towards the exit, it worked wonders. I beat the game. Legendary is the only difficulty I haven't beat this on but I don't think I want to even try that.
Tekken 6 (Xbox 360)
Just started. The campaign mode is practically unplayable with the arcade stick that was included with it so I used a normal pad, I can at least aim at opponents this way. I beat the first few stages and did a couple of them online. I only played a few online versus matches and got my ass handed to me, but I did win at least 1 ranked match and a few unranked ones.
Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles (Wii)
I haven't enjoyed playing through this as the shaky cam ruins the game. I think I'm up to the end of the Resident Evil 2 chapters as I'm at on of RE2's last bosses, but I've got no ammo for the better guns and the handgun doesn't do enough damage. I'm playing on normal difficulty but this might have been a mistake. However I don't feel like restarting on easy and going through all the levels I've already beaten again. Meh.
Real Bout Garou Densetsu (Neo Geo)
I've been trying to one credit clear this but haven't managed it. I can get to the sub bosses, but I've yet to beat Billy without having to use a continue. I've been using Terry and Kim, generally I've had better luck with Kim.
Sonic Classic Collection (DS)
I started Sonic 1 but wasn't impressed with the poor framerate so I stopped after the second act of Green Hill Zone. In Sonic 3 & Knuckles, I beat the game with Knuckles and got all the super emeralds. I embarrassingly died on the Angel Island second act boss (twice!) but blasted through the rest of the game without problem. I also started a file with Sonic alone and got up to Mushroom Hill with all chaos emeralds.
