These are in no particular order.

4 ) Call of Duty: World at War (Xbox 360)

Despite some faults I mentioned in my progress pages, I did enjoy this entry in the series a lot. The campaign mode told a good story and I liked the fact that you could have co-op on any of the missions. The best part was the Nazi zombies mode though -especially the Shi No Numa map, which is very large and is generally a blast to play after you open it all up, because it is a lot of fun taking down the larger zombie hordes.

3) Getting a Neo Geo

Ever since I played Capcom Vs. SNK, I wanted to play SNK games. The problem with that was the Neo Geo was very pricey, as were the games, so emulators were my only option. Fast forward several years and thanks to having an income I could finally get myself a Neo Geo! And so I did, and it was great and I no longer had to feel just a tiny bit guilty using Kawaks to play KoF and the like anymore. I think I built up a pretty good collection this year, I don't own anything which is really rare (and most likely never will) but I'm certainly happy with what I've got. All I need now is a Metal Slug game and another controller and that will do me just fine.

2) Battlefield 1943 (Xbox 360)

This game was perfect for just dipping in and out of -no waiting around for games to start, no need to level up your character go get the better guns or anything like that. Just basic first person shooting with large scale battles that anyone could get into. I also liked the air superiority mode, where everyone gets a plane and engages in some dog fighting.

1) Neo Geo Battle Coliseum (Xbox 360)

SNK's titles have been of suspect quality lately, but I think they did a good job with this. In particular, the online mode was actually quite good for once so it was great to play against other people (the PS2 version I have didn't have this). I'm not that great with combos but I did managed to get a fairly solid Mr. Karate online and I could sit there and do his lunge punch into ranbu super all day. The only bad thing with this game is that the online community sadly seemed to die out quite quickly. A pity, especially since SNK's follow up -KoF 2002 Unlimited Match -didn't turn out that well.
