Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (Xbox 360)
I wasn't planning on getting this but after several friends kept going on about how great it was I decided to buy a copy. Single player wise it's an enjoyable affair with great set pieces and some decent new vehicle sections but there just isn't enough of it -on normal difficulty it only took me a few hours to complete the entire thing and whilst it was great whilst it lasted it felt to me that it could have done with a few more levels and I feel sorry for the people who paid full price for this. I went back and beat the game on Veteran (hardest) difficulty afterwards but it was easier than the first Modern Warfare.
I've briefly dabbled in the multi-player mode. Good on Infinity Ward for including a up to four player split-screen option (you'd be surprised at how many FPS games have online only multi-player these days) and the online was good too.
I've also played some of the Special Ops co-operative missions and beaten the first 15 of them.
Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox 360)
I beat the Dead Center, Parish and Dark Carnival campaigns on the easiest difficulty in this disappointing sequel. The online mode, which you'd think would be top quality for a game like this, has been largely terrible and I think that it is ridiculous you cannot view the ping of a game before you join it. Most games I've entered are extremely laggy. I haven't tried the Versus mode yet, I'll try and beat the other two campaigns first.
Ace Combat 6 (Xbox 360)
Beat the entire story mode on easy difficulty. I enjoyed it as it was something different to the usual fighting/first person shooting games I play although it could have done with a little more variety in the missions and the cutscenes were often weird due to poor translation work. I also beat the two online co-operative missions which were a lot of fun, although it seems that the downloadable planes you have to pay for make things a lot easier.
Ryuuko no Ken 2 (Super Famicom)
I beat arcade mode with Ryo. I didn't manage to get to Geese due to losing one round but I did win without having to use a continue. The A.I. seems to have been toned down compared to the arcade version. I would have done better if I could have done Ryo's super desperation move, I could do all of his other special moves apart from that one and it would have really helped out in some fights, but never mind.
