Resident Evil 4 (PS2)

I finished an old save file on RE2 for the Gamecube and that put me in the mood for some more Resident Evil so I revisited this one. First off, I beat my normal difficulty file for the second time and got the chicago typewriter (a really powerful tommy gun) and an infinte rocket launcher which made playing through the game a real blast and removed just about any difficulty. After doing that, I then restarted a file on the "Pro" difficulty and whilst it is tougher (Leon takes a lot more damage) I made my way through it. I'd say the hardest part was the Krauser battle as I died many times until I found out about how you have to knife him to death to kill him quick. Anyway I eventually beat Pro mode and got the laser weapon for my troubles and have played through Pro mode again, this time saving up to get the tommy gun and infinite launcher. I've got those now along with the handcannon maxed out so no enemy is a match for me any more. I also briefly played through some of the Mercenries mode stages and they're kind of fun...I just wish some of the characters were balanced out a bit better as Leon and Ada are useless compared to Hunk or Wesker.

Akumajō Dracula X Chi no Rondo (PC Engine)

Obtained fairly recently off eBay, the asking price this goes for is worth it. Playing this was a nice change for me as the recent Castlevanias that I've played through have all been the Metroid-style ones (Symphony of the Night, Portrait of Ruin etc) whilst this is a stage based gameand so far it's been good. I think I've reached the last level or am close to it (I'm at the Clocktower level) but I've only found one of the secret levels so far. Good to see some tough bosses for once (Death actually gave my some trouble here, unlike in SotN) and the music is totally rockin'.
