This prototype of the game has a build date of September 5th, 1994. It is one of three Virtua Racing Deluxe prototypes dumped by drx in 2008.

At the main menu, the icons in each selection box have different colors, and don't stand out as well as they do in the final version.

The Virtua Racing option has the V.R. text in a different color in the prototype, the final version made it a lighter shade of blue. The background colors are also different.

The way the guy says Virtua Racing at the end of the intro is different to the previous two prototypes, but is still different to the final version -at least, for the American version. This prototype voice clip would later be used in the Japanese version of the game.
