This early screens are from issue 55 of Electronic Gaming Monthly. There are a lot of differences in these screens: -The player's character is listed above the energy bar (they used Higashi instead of Joe for some reason). -The energy bars are different. -Joe's picture icon is different. -The win icon lacks the "WON" the final version has. -The timer is different. -Joe's taunt sprite is slightly different. Andy is missing his picture icon in the bottom right, and his name isn't listed above his energy bar either.

Andy is fighting Mai in this screenshot, but he has Higashi as his name, his picture icon is Joe, and he's fighting on Joe's stage. The background is different, and Mai has a different sprite for her taunt. Mai's picture icon is also different.

Different sprites for Jubei and Bear, plus their icon pictures are different. Also I don't think it's possible for them to be fighting on Joe's stage in the final version, perhaps their stages weren't ready yet at this point in development.
