Gamest issue 152 had a preview of the game, featuring a nearly complete build of it. There were numerous typos in the preview shots, such as the space gem giving Magneto "SUPER ARMER". |

Another example of this. |

Thankfully Capcom realized what was wrong here. |

This image is from another preview, featured in Gamest issue 154. The typos hadn't been fixed yet. |
This message goes unused because of the obvious typo. Apparently whoever decided to fix this chose the wrong font by accident, which may be why the "MARVELOUS!" text that does get used in the game is in a different font when compared to all of the other messages.
It seems that the original plan was if you finished an opponent off with a gem active, you were supposed to get this message.
The names of the infinity gems. These were possibly meant to be used when a gem was in use.
This word was meant to be shown next to the super combo gauge, and is seen in the preview screenshots above, but it was taken out of the final version. Thanks to Ragey for finding this.
A victory icon with the letter T on it. This might have been originally used to represent if you won a round via time over, but in the actual game, an image of a clock is used instead.
Another unused victory icon, this time with the letter G in it. Maybe this one was meant to be for if you won a round with a gem activated, as per the unused gem victory text mentioned above?
Yet another unused victory icon. This one is different as it has a V on it, but the background appears to be an infinity gem. Perhaps another attempt at an icon for if you won with an infinity gem, before it was cut.
