This preview shot from volume 3, issue 11 of Gamefan shows the early character select screen, which featured a plain white background. Toki and Candy aren't on the select screen yet, and the highlighted characters don't have unique fonts for their names. This screen also reveals that Jane was originally called Dominique, and she had a different portrait in this earlier version.
