Not only has Ryu got all of his moves from the previous game, he now has the ability to change his move set to Ken or Akuma's! Capcom also updated his sprite so he looks more like his Street Fighter II appearance (note the red headband). Click on an image above to be taken to each version of Ryu's moves.
Ryu will start out each fight in his normal mode, and he has all of his moves from the previous game.

Ryu's classic fireball move.
SHORYUKEN
(F, D, DF+P)
A vertical uppercut that is devastating when done right next to the opponent.
TATSU MAKI SEN PU KYAKU
(QCB+K, air also)
This spinning kick can knock the opponent back with one hit. It can hit twice if the opponent is in the corner.

An energy beam projectile.

Ryu will perform his spin kick without moving toward the opponent.

If you do this at point blank range, Ryu will do a three hit dragon punch which does great damage. Otherwise the move is a standard dragon punch that does multiple hits, but less damage.

AKUMA MODE

Gives Ryu Akuma's move set.
By using the Ken mode hyper combo, you can change Ryu's move set to Ken's. In this mode, Ryu has all of Ken's special moves and hyper combos from Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter. It also changes some of his kicks. For the Playstation version, hold down the select button whilst highlighting Ryu and then press a button to make Ryu start off in this mode.

The air version has him throw one downwards in a diagonal direction towards the opponent.
SHORYUKEN

All of Ryu's dragon punches will set the opponent on fire, no matter which button is pressed.
TATSU MAKI SEN PU KYAKU
(QCB+K, air also)
Ryu will travel upwards diagonally when doing his hurricane kick, apart from the air version.

Ryu will do three of his dragon punches in a row.

This dragon punch has Ryu move vertically, but he spins around a few times with his arm set on fire. Keep pressing the kick buttons for extra hits and damage.

Ryu will kick his opponent several times then finish this combo off with a hurricane kick.

Ryu will teleport to either side of the screen. The forwards motion will have him warp forwards, backwards motion will make him go back. Using the punch buttons makes him travel further.
TENMA KUJIN KYAKU
(QCF+K, air only)
This diving kick can do multiple hits.
