In 2012, Marvel Vs. Capcom Origins was released as a downloadable title from the Xbox Live marketplace. Origins includes Marvel Vs. Capcom and Marvel Super Heroes. Marvel Vs. Capcom is as close to the arcade version as you could hope for, and several extras have been included. The main addition is that this version has online play, which has good quality netcode thanks to it using GGPO. It also has a training mode, where you can practice moves and combos.

By playing the game you can complete challenges and unlock points. The challenges include things such as getting a certain amount of perfects, or doing a certain amount of throws. Points can be spent in the vault, and you can buy stuff like concept artwork and ending movies, but more usefully, you can permanently unlock the secret characters.

There are also achievements to unlock, most of which are fairly easy to get -such as beating the game with all the Marvel, Capcom and secret characters. As good as this version was, unfortunately it has been delisted, meaning you can't buy it anymore.
