These games were played via my Super Game Boy 2 adapter for the SNES.

Fist of the North Star
Video length: 14:32
Game region:
Difficulty level: 1 out of 5

Playthrough with Kaioh. Kaioh is among the ranks of the most powerful characters, because he can throw three projectiles out at once. And really that's all you need to do to beat everyone in this game. Just keep charging up your power, jump your opponent's projectiles (if they have them) and then fire back.

The game lets you continue after the credits so you can start over, but a single run of this was enough for me.

The King of Fighters '95
Video length: 24:50
Game region:
Difficulty level: 3 out of 5

Playthrough with Ryo, Kim and Iori (not every character made it into this port -so the default teams no longer exist for the most part).

Anyway, the game features clunky combat, and charging up your super gauge and using your desperation move over and over again is the best way to win. Ryo's is handy since it does a lot of damage, and the CPU isn't that great at blocking it.

This game features the two bosses from the Neo Geo version, along with an added surprise: Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown! You have to beat the game on hard to get her to challenge you at the end of the game, so that's what I did.

Nettou Garou Densetsu 2
Video length: 30:23
Game region:
Difficulty level: 3 out of 5

Playthrough with Kim. Whilst the sprites for this game look nice, the game is really slow and not very good. Not much to say about this one.

Nettou The King of Fighters '96
Video length: 28:47
Game region:
Difficulty level: 3 out of 5

Playthrough with Ryo, Robert and Mr. Big. This game is a bit of an improvement over the previous Game Boy KoF game, as the controls are more responsive. The CPU is still very aggressive, though. As with the previous game, there is a surprise fighter to battle after the credits if you beat the game on hard. This time it's Mr. Karate! He's got all of his usual moves, but they're powered up, and his ranbu super is great.

There are also a few team combinations in this game which will lead to extra fights after Goenitz. For this team, Ryo and Robert decide to take on Mr. Big.

Nettou Real Bout Special
Video length: 25:59
Game region:
Difficulty level: 2 out of 5

Playthrough with Terry. The sprites for this port aren't as detailed as the Game Boy's other Garou Densetsu game, but the gameplay is much better, with faster action. Whilst not everybody made the jump from the Neo Geo version, the characters who did make it have all of their special moves and supers.

Iori from The King of Fighters also makes a guest appearance, I think he shows automatically after you defeat Geese, perhaps you have to one credit clear the game, but none of the cheat sites mention this.
